Aidoneus Posted February 19, 2012 Share Posted February 19, 2012 It's an interesting idea, certainly. However, realistically, all you have in the list is 6 scoring vehicles. Of those, 3 need to get right up close, easily within melta range, to be effective. The other 3 only have AV 12. In 2000pts, people are gonna have the resources to deal with that pretty easily. Part of the issue is that, even with Solodins, you're still spending 605pts on HQ and T. Now compare that to using Coteaz and Henchmen, where the minimum points you'd need to spend for the HQ and 6 T units is only 172 (more than 100pts less than Draigo alone)! If all you care about are the vehicles, you can do it for 433pts less, plus you get to re-roll for Seize the Initiative and shoot at reserves coming in within 12" of one of your vehicles. Doing that, you could go down to 5 vehicles and field the army at 1500pts, plus upgrade to LR Crusaders and beef up the squads a bit. Alternative, you could play 1750pts with all 6 vehicles, LR Crusaders, and beefier squads.
