travisb7
One thing to note is the temperature of the heat and the speed of the fan. You don't want to have it too high or too fast. That is why the cheap hair dryers will actually work best, especially if they have a speed setting. Want them even cheaper? Ask your wife/girlfriend/mom/next-door neighbor if you can borrow her's regularly. That is, if you don't own one yourself! I used a heatgun on some models once after spraying them - held it about 5 feet back since it got upwards of 500 degrees F. Almost instantly dried my primer! Darklighter
Just a word of warning some products like varnish, decal fixers and washes (especialy when combined in the same area) will cause your model to melt in a chemical reaction when heat is applied like this. And that would be bad. Hmm. Good call. Test the hair dryer on sprue with paints/washes/varnish before testing on your actual models then. ShinyRhino
I use my wife's old backup hairdryer whenever I'm airbrushing tanks. A few seconds of blasting at the "cool" setting and low fan speed dries my airbrished primer and base coats in a flash.
