Blood Angels Captain

Hi Folks,

Been a while I didn't post any pictures of my painjobs. Actually I was busy painting non power armored units, but I got eventually a bit tired of painting green xenos, so here I'm back again, painting red this time.

I do not plan to play or collect Blood Angels, so this one is just intended as a one shot project painted for the fun of it (but one never knows...).

All comments are welcome.

It's a shame you're not planning on doing an army's worth - a whole force of those guys would look great

Thanks

Don't tempt me...I must resist...

*Jedi... I mean... Librarian mind trick..* its a shame you're not planning on doing and army's worth - a whole force of those guys would look great!

Thanks Sp4rky!

I'm not so keen on the eyes myself, but thats purely because I'm not a fan of directional lighting.

The paint job itself is very clean and smooth, something I struggle to achieve, which is why (the few times I do paint anything) I drown it in devlan mud.

Well done!

Thanks for your nice comments.

Shading red is not always easy, after several experiments with brown, green, and even black washes I found that Ogryn flesh was the best (to my point of view) to get smooth shading effects. Then you just have to add some Devlan mud in the recesses
