The wolf head of my TWL is just F'ed up... It looks as if the mold was misaligned and there is an off set of 1/8th of an inch across the upper half of the head. I tried to gently sand it and gs it but when you look at the hear from the front you can see that the whole head is crooked... I'm going to call GW about it today. but since I have already tampered with it, I am not expecting anything to come of my call.

You can also drop any Failcast model in boiling water for no more than three minutes to reposition it.

Where did the extra background on morkai come from ??

Recent Forgeworld IA 11.

Ah, you meant Bran Redmaw then, right?

Oh, that's right it was Bran in there; I don't know what new info on Erik Morkai the other fellow was referring to then.

Never helps when life interferes with your gaming.... but WHY GW WHY?

They had ever opportunity to impress us with new and interesting sculpts on top of their past work yet they choose the easy road and VOILA LOOK AT THE NEW FINECAST MODELS WE MADE....even though some of the sculpts are over 20 years old.

Out of the new stuff I really think the Bjorn model sucks... You could make a better one with the forgeworld kits. But the thunderwolves are awesome! :)

New? This is one of the oldest models GW has available... It's "NEW" as in "now available in Finecast". Same goes for the Ulric, Ragnar and RA Njal models...

I have never came across it before? Well I am wrong i guess so sorry! :) and anyway I fell that Bjorn NEEEEDS a plasma cannon after reading 'battle for the fang'.

They stopped selling the Bjorn model for a while when their new plastic kits came out (and new Njal in TDA). Then roughly within a year ago, they re-released the Bjorn and Njal in PA models.

I know, right??!! You'd think with the money they save making cheap ass resin models they could at least higher somebody to inspect the final product a LOT better...

I understand that when working with this kind of material things will come up as far as bubbles and inconsistent thicknesses, but not all of us are master modelers. My GS ability is decent, but not good enough to fix my janked up TWL head. So far, the worst 40K purchase ever for me.

I too was disappointed to see them fail the classic sculpts instead of giving us new vibrant, less static new versions to rally around. I mean those models LOOK like they where sculpted in the 90's!! :)

The new standard bearer is the nuts though. I love him. Like a man loves another man. Hugs with hands clenched between the two bodies kind of love. You know what I am talking about...

End of Line

Just got my TWC and FW's. so far so good. First impression, don't like the fur, to pointy even the features like ears are to sharp... or is it just me. I have 20 Chaos hounds and just got 10 FW's to flush out the pack's I never fixed the tails or ears on the hounds but I am planning to now! with some time they will look good. I think both the hounds and wolves will need some GS work. I may get some Vampire Count hounds to use as cyber wolves if all goes well.

The best bit though are the heads and chain swords, the Storm shields are a small let down, though very nice to look at.

I think the SS are just fine. People need to think about the mechanics of mounted cavalry using smaller shields to maintain mobility. A huge terminator storm shield or even a foot slogging storm shield can be larger. The same applies to Arjac's smaller storm shield which he uses as a weapon and gains the appropriate bonus.
I get what your sayin' brother. I was more or less referring to the underside of the shield. I am mormily quick with the how too's of GW models but the lack of a hand set me to wonder...where and how... but no worries. as for the gaps I just got the new Green Stuff..in the paint pot. so well see how that goes.

Ended up buying a three pack of thunderwolves. One is becoming a Wolf Lord/Battle Leader with storm shield and frost axe, the others thunderwolves with storm shields and a thunder hammer.

Didn't really need to spend that this week. Hopefully I won't have anything more to buy for a long time (unless they do a plastic war alter for Empire) since ebaying some metal Greatswords to bring myself up to a unit of 40/two units of 21.
