starwolf117
I am working on a 2000 pt army list and I was wondering can you take mare than one land speeder typhoon in a land speeder squadron? For example can I take 2 land speeder typhoons and one land speeder tornado? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Tis a great mystery (thnx to the "great" wording in our codex) so that this question is being asked again and again :) Here Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/247684-space-wolf-list-making/#findComment-2999356 Share on other sites
thor1234
Yes... Cain is correct, the wording is very poor, I would just double check with your local gaming circle (or tournament organiser) before putting the list together, I cant see you getting many no's though...... Khine
i would argue the point that since the first two parts of the options uses the word "ANY" means that these options are open to any of the land speeders. the fact that the third bullet point uses the wording "Alternatively a" should represent the other path that these land speeders can take. It's like simple essay writing at a tertiary academic level where one point is set against the other using wording like "Although" or "However". It merely states a different direction that something can travel. The use of "a" after the alternatively just emphasizes the individualistic nature of our codex. Each of the models in the unit has the freedom to load out in whatever way they desire. If people choose to interpret one section of information without linking it to the surrounding information available to them then they aren't accessing the given information accurately. CainTheHunter
;) HEY, this is the first time in this particular debate :D let me throw my first punch. Welcome to the club ;) And yeah, I can see that for obvious reasons (You were not registered then :) ) You missed the debate in June 2010, November 2010 and December 2010 :D It's all because wording in C:SW is different from C:SM, and thus people tend to bend things in the direction they wish (all depends on the no. of land speeders in their collection) ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/247684-space-wolf-list-making/#findComment-2999407 Share on other sites
Spacefrisian
I dunno how you read it but i read it as: Any landspeeder may be upgraded to aTornado pattern Alternatively to a Typhoon pattern Seems kind of straight forward. Brother Seraphion
Yeah seems pretty straight forward to me, our codex says you can do it, if C:SM says something different who cares we don't have anything to do with them  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/247684-space-wolf-list-making/#findComment-2999900 Share on other sites
Spacefrisian
Spacemarines dont list it as a pattern type, that might be the cause of confusion.
