New wave planned purchases?

So what do you intend on picking up?

I am worried about the wolf lord on TWC in Finecast, but he has my exact loadout (ss/fb) and I do like him. Despite owning Mythicast, I am very pleased with the new models and will be replacing all my TWC. I really like the standard bearer but not the idea of copy cat banner bearers so only one. I am also really liking the new fen wolves and cyberwolf. So all in all,

WL on TWC

TWC x2

Banner bearer x1

Fenrisian wolves x2

Cyber wolves x2

I have never bought any thunderwolf cavalry because I was desperately waiting till GW brought out their own. They're not bad, even though I think the wolves of one or two companies are better. I will be picking up the Arjac Model for sure though.

1x TWC

3x Fen Wolves

1x Arjac

1x Cyberwolf

1x GH Standard

Just getting 1 pack of TWC for now to keep costs down and to give me the chance to figure out their role in my army (b/c I never bothered with any counts-as 3rd party sculpts). I already have Canis, so I don't really neeeeed the WL TWC yet, though I love the mount sculpt, so it'll likely be a later purchase.

Also, since I like the usage/mobility of Speeders, I tend to take up a FA slot with those, so I don't imagine needing more than 2x packs of TWC.. and I've been working on some Skyclaws and Swiftclaws, so I'm not sure of the three which will win out on my playstyle.

I was planning a box each of Fen Wolves and TWC, but I'm thinking with my budget and my current list, I'll just get the TWC box, and grab some Fen Wolves later.

I won't be purchasing any of the Finecast stuff at any point. Ever. I considered Ulrik, but for $20, when all I wanted was the head, I'll just sculpt my own again when I finally get around to a wolf priest.

You still gotta make a cast-mold for your Bjorn head and mass produce so we can buy them!

And that is the problem hearing from someone whose painting/modeling skills dwarf my own. I like the models, but am scared of the Finecast. Your post alone makes me just want the plastics....LOL.

2x Fen Wolves (maybe 3 or even 4... But on the later days)

1x Thunder wolves

1x TWLord

Arjac

Cyber wolf

Bannerman

Wolf guard (but i need to see him first)

If our beloved heroes will get new sculpts, I want them also.

Ok my wallet, be ready to be distorted

If I've scared at least one person away from finecast, I've done my job. That stuff is wretched.

Got a 100% fail rate with me so far. The stuff just feels wrong and brittle too.

That's probably cause that's exactly what it is  would be nice if there was a way to make effective molds from it for personal use.

I'm intending on picking up a good 2-5 Boxes of TWC (I like big numbers), Arjac (may get 2), 3-5 GH Standards, the Spesh Chars (Rags/Ulrik/Lukas) and atleast 2 or 3 boxes of the fen wolves I love the models :) so my pockets will be a lot emptier

I know that I want:

2 standard bearers

2 sets of TWC

1 TWC Lord

maybe even a few of the fen. wolves but I already have 12 of the old models.

As for my budget... I'll start with the standards and go from there.

TWC aren't really my cup of tea (I prefer Grey hunters who can score). Hell I still have 6 TWC models I haven't even painted that I can't even use now(only in big GW tournys).

I'm just glad we're finnaly getting a little love from GW with the models and not just in he rules :)

Unfortunately, what this means is that we'll be screwed out of more up-to-date sculpts of ragnar, ulrik, njal and that tdarp until GW has its waves come back around full circle again... unless they somehow miraculously have back-to-back SW waves, but the mention of repacked old models makes me think unlikely.

Most likely I'll pick up:

Wolf Lord

TWC X 2

Fen Wolves X 2

Cyber Wolf X 2

Arjac

Wolf Standard Bearer

As most are, i'm disapointed about the older models comeing out in finecast, as opposed to new models, however we were just gifted with a ton of new wolf goodness that i didn't think we'd ever actually see. So i'm not overly upset. I do think taht we'll eventually get an updated Ragnar/Ulrik/Logan, gives us something to look forward to.

for now a TWC box and maybe standard.I'll see whats in the TWC box and look at the TWL to see if i should buy that or just make one from the TWC,after maybe get some more TWC.Oh defiantly the WD that shoes these

Fen wolves probably not, depends if i like the look from the box.If not i'll just stick to the chaos hounds.Spec chars-nope dont like any of them.Cyberwolf holy hell never that thing looks ugly

everything thats new (the rest i have in metal, and its going to stay that way)

So

1 TWM lord

1 box of TWM

1 box of wolves

1 Arjac

1 Wolftotum

after making these ill see if i want more, but i have 7 thunderwolves already not including canis who is still in the box and will stay there for the time being
