An alternate Heresy

Sounds very very odd I know, but I like all the Primarch to some degree and would like to believe under different circumstances they all stayed loyal.

 

My ideal theme I have running through my own (tiny) brain would be to see the heresy take place where upon the astartees under the Primarchs plan a revolution.

 

For example the ideal candidated for me would be,

 

Kor Phaeron - Black Cardinal of the Word Bearers. (Grand architect)

Erebus - First Chaplain of the Word Bearers (Grand architect)

 

Abadon (Chosen of Khorne)

 

Lucius (Chosen of Slaneesh)

Fabius Bile (Major Architect)

Typhus (Chosen of Nurgle)

Ahzek Ahriman (Chosen of Tzeentch)

Luther (Undivided)

(Sons of Medusa as a whole) Undivided

(Convicts and beater astartees quarantined from the night lords (again taken from the Dorian AI)Undivided

 

Now based upon those characters involved my plan is as follows, (now it goes of on a very different tangent believe me so I can understand if many people hate it, but hey that’s what I'd expect as Im tampering with fluff DNA) Basically unable to convert the Primarchs Erebus and Kor Phaeron (The false Astartee) goes after the second best thing, those arrogant enough to believe themselves grander than the primarchs, these individuals and a hand full of their followers are led astray by promises of god hood in the realm of the eye.

 

They are cloned on mass by Fabius (And i mean on mass) on a world on the edge of the system (now taking a fluff spin of from the Dorian Heresy AI, i'd like it if the necrons were only partially awakened) and the sons of Medusa (after an the Internal Iron hand war) leave in search of ancient technology and etc. They are persuaded by bile and the like, find the slumbering necron world on the edge of the system and learn how to transfer their souls into the machines, Bile and Erebus learn the means of souls tranfering and learn how to transfer demonic daemons into the blank clones created by Fabius.

 

With new clone false astartee armies created empowered with the souls of deamons and the like they begin a war of confusion and initially sow distruction and mass panic into the primarchs forces (no one being able to trust anyone) whilst this goes on the clone armies gather in strength recruiting followers from newly turned imperial worlds.

 

The Alpha Leigon investigates, Alparhius or Omegan is captured and cloned, he goes back to the Alpha legion wages a false war upon the Ultramarines in the name of his legion, this adds even more confusion loyalists kill loyalists, alpharius finds out, shows the corpse of his cloned twin to his brothers, by the time its all been worked out all the chapters have somehow been cloned in someway and a war between chaos and the imperium wages on. The Imperium is weakened from within from all the confusion, the forces of chaos launch an invasion in their ultimate goal to destory the Emperor create a clone of his DNA and place a chaos fuled copy of the Emperor on the throne and rule the Imperium of mankind under the boot of chaos. Obviously the loyalists rally to the call and a bloody all out civil war rages on.

 

Now theres alot of detail to sort out (alot he says, is this guy blind, theres a UNIVERSE OF STUFF!) but has anyone else ever thought along these kind of lines?

Nothing wrong here, I can see the Curze quarantineing the criminals but you could also have them being forced to paint their gauntlets "Sinner's red", fated to die in service of the Emperor. Given the most suicidal tasks. Maybe Sevantar managed to lead this marines in a revolt and they wage a war of vengeance.

 

Why not Khârn as the chosen of Khorne instead of Abbadon? And have Abbadon as the general of the revolt.

Kor Phaeron and Erebus are spiritiual leaders, Lucius is only a captain, not the second command of a Primarch so he wouldn't be the best general there is. Fabius Bile is an apothecary, Typhus might be a candidate but the Death Guard were better known for their thoughness then their brilliant battle plans. Ahriman is a captain but not the second in command of Magnus, he is important because he's a powerfull Psyker. Luther would be the most obvious choice after Abbadon because he is second to the Lion.

 

I don't know if the Sons of Medusa were present during the Great Crusade.

 

Why not have Space Marines of every Legion rebelling against the Imperium.

 

Iron Warriors: While most of the Legion was content to provide garrisons, seeing the importance of the task and taking pride in knowing that they ensured the stabillity of the Imperium, some however regared it as unworthy of Astartes.

 

I might come up with something for the other Legions later (if you're intressted) but the Iron Warriors seems to be the eassiest.

While I like the idea of Fabius being key in this Heresy. Maybe you could have him just augmenting the traitor Astartes, making them stronger, faster etc. The cloning and possesion could still be there but maybe something like what happened with the Raven Guard happens. This could make the Heresy less obvious at first. Imperial forces are attacked by waves of monsters/daemons/cultists and the Imperium assumes that they have encountered a new breed of Xenos who are allied with Humans and use sorcery. While never showing himself Abbadon leads these forces to victory on a number of occasions. Horus (or someone else) then leads a massive force to destroy them, this is the moment that traitors that had remained with their Legions show their true collours and take the Imperials by suprise. Mass panic would still be there due to the Istvann incident and they would obviously be recruiting.

I'm trying to make it happen atm, basically I dont like the Idea of The Primarchs being used and abused like puppets, i thought false astartee warriors (aka blank possessed and willing traitor alike) turn on their handlers in the pursuit of perfection, war etc.

 

And yes I have plans and twists to turn all astartees from all chapters (some more than others) to cloned deamon infested warriors.

 

Overview, the initial Horus possession is shut dow very quickly and over the space of a few years the traitors bide their time and build in number, this happens when Abadon confronts Erebus about the blade used to wound Horus (dont know how to make this work fluff wise yet but i'll figure it out) essentially Abadon is defeated in combat and Erebus knowing he has been found out escaped with Abadons body, he tempts him in his weakened state to the service of Khorne and basically yeah thats how he gets Abadon, (alot more detail needed I know but just rough out lines atm)

 

with reference to the sons of Medusa in M35 something known as the 'Nova Terra Ignum',

 

The Founding of the Sons of Medusa is highly unusual in that, technically, they were never actually founded at all. Their origins lie within an Imperial civil conflict known as the Moirae Schism, which itself occurred during the Nova Terra Interregnum. During this schism, which affected all branches of the Adeptus Mechanicus and those Imperial factions closely tied to it, the Iron Hands chapter stood on the brink of destroying itself in an internal chapter war. However, the ruling council of the Iron Hands, the Great Clan Council, was able to settle the matter by getting all concerned to agree to a simple solution; the Moirae dissidents were to be exiled from the chapter, with all parties swearing never to take up arms against each other. In the wake of this ruling, almost a full third of the chapter split away to become a fleet-based divergent branch of the Iron Hands. With the restoration of the High Lords of Terra during the Age of Redemption, the Moirae Iron Hands were carefully judged and scrutinised by the resurgent Imperium for their actions during the Schism and the Interregnum, and were found pure and loyal to the greater Imperium. As a result, the High Lords of Terra issued a special edict that would ratify the Moirae Iron Hands' right to exist as a Space Marine chapter in their own right. They were renamed the Sons of Medusa and gained new heraldry, as well as the distrust and wary observation of some in the Adeptus Mechanicus and other Space Marine chapters unhappy with this development.1

 

As if to test their loyalty, the first campaign officially issued to the Sons of Medusa was that of the Great Cull; the eradication of those elements of the Imperium found wanting. They are noted to have performed above and beyond expectations in this campaign, outshining their parent chapter as well as other Imperial forces with their zeal to destroy Imperial traitors, as well as other foes of humanity.1

Recent Years

 

Now i liked the idea the Iron hands had an internal conflict and seperated, so I will find a way to apply this to a civil war on mars between the Iron hands, this will take place shortly after the false Emperors children (Lucius's lot) make an attack in the name of Fulgrim after a heated debate between Ferrus and Fulgrim (still working this bit out aswell) after the initial fighting Ferrus persues the attackers whilst some of his forces return to mars (the only path open to them due to warp storms)

 

follwing Lucius's lot they come across the sleeping necron world and venutre inside (like in the Dorian Heresy) except here Ferrus is confronted by Lucius and is ambushed by his clones, With the tomb world slowly waking up around them and the Iron hands now lying dying Lucius takes the chance to abduct what bodies he can and hands them over to Fabius so he can study how to transfer souls to the necrons before usig the technique to transfer deamon souls to the blank clone astartee bodies)

 

Ferrus being a beast of a primarch (and carrying the Dragon shard) feels the tomb world coming to life, in doing so he becomes trapped and the traitors flee and sees only one option, to fuse his warriors with the necrons before they all come to life and its too late(hence Dorian heresy necron Iron hands) But the companies that made it to mars no longer trust Ferrus when they see what the legion has become and break of becoming the sons of Medusa. In doing so the chapter is taken out of the war and mars engages in conflict with Ferrus,

Seems like a pretty good idea really. I like how the Alpha Legions tactics are basically used against them with Omegan being captured and replaced.

The corruption of Abaddon.

 

When Warmaster Horus was contacted by a human civilzation that not only allowed Xenos to survive but had incoporated them into their society, Abaddon was one of many that demanded the Warmaster to destroy them. Horus instead wished to make peace with them and tried to persuade them to join the Imperium. When the Interex treacherously attacked the Imperials Abaddon pleaded with Horus to unleash the Luna Wolves, Horus however persisted that the Interex had been manipuleted and wished to reason with them. When this failed Horus reluqantly declared war to the Interex.

 

After the destruction of the Interex Horus constantly doubted himself, seeing the Interex campaign as a failure. He sought more and more approval from his brothers before making big decisions. Becoming infurated by Horus' indecision and weakness Abaddon began to doubt Horus, feeling that he was not the man to lead the armies of the Imperium.

 

When Horus was almost killed on Davin, Horus declared that he had much to learn and that Sanguinius would lead the Great Crusade in his absent. Traveling to Prospero Horus began to study the nature of Chaos, which ended only news of the Heresy reached him.

 

With Sanguinius leading the Great Crusade many of the more brutal Legions were reorganized, captains who had led their men in the slaughtering innocents were broken down to the ranks, including Abaddon. The World Eaters were the most humillated however when Sanguinius ordered Angron to gather his Legion to destroy an Ork empire. When Sanguinius arrived however to lead this attack his intent became clear. He had ordered the gathering of the World Eaters to demand the removal of the agression chips, with the Blood Angels and the bulk of the Ultramarines to enforce his command if neccesary. While many World Eaters died during the surgery Angron is said to have embraced his brother and thanked him.

 

With his rank taken from him and seeing the changes Sanguinius enforced Abaddon grew more and more displeased. When Erebus contacted him and showed him the future of the Imperium if Sanguinius was not stopped, Abaddon began to shape the billions of cultists that Erebus and Kor Phaeros had hidden in a system surrounded by warp storms into an army, offically declared dead by the Imperium.

 

During this time Abaddon learned of the Chaos gods and dedicated himself to Khorne.

 

 

As promised I came up with a backstory for Abaddon. I will continue work on other traitors.

I think That initially Abadon should still be loyal to Horus, until he meets Erebus and is bested in combat with the laer blade (retrieved by Fabius and given to him to deal with Abadon on the moon of Davin) lying wounded and on deaths door step Abadon is given visions of himself as the true warmaster, the agression that Horus could never bring to bear, his weakness thorugh lack of prejudice, and thusly Abadon the Destroyer was born.

 

From here Abadon and Erebus launch a campaing gathering those on newly compliant worlds, willing to revolt against the imperium, reinforced by deamons Abadon laucnhes deadly assaults agaisnt many worlds leaving none alive, (this is so he can summon the greater deamon of khorne that breaks Sanginius's legs much later on) meanwhile fabius clones the various other turncoats and traitors (not all of which are astartees, some are normal men genetically modified ) are cloned on mass and allow the deamonic essence from their representative chaos gods to occupy the empty vessels) Meanwhile using the Iron Warrior technique (http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Daemonculaba#.T01DS_W0NgE) (but obviously conducted by fabius) as a result chaos bred warriors are bred on mass until they reach enough power to start launching false assaults in their parent chapters name. (starting with the Emperors Children) After an assault carried out by a strike force of Emperors children against Ferrus Manus's own Honour guard and himself they give chase to the fleeing evil emperors children, Ferrus is caught of guard by a suprise assault in the depth of a sleeping necron tomb world and is trapped within. (i have an idea for a dragon shard plot too with all this) The remaining Iron hand flee the system and regroup only to send word to terra demanding that the Empeors Children and Fulgrim need to be bought to justice.

 

With accusations raised, Fulgrim and his legion race to the side of Horus and Magnus (Stationed on Prospero) in which Magnus has recieved visions of the impending doom represented by Erebus and Abadon, He contacts The Emperor only to be accused of using sorcery and demands his return to Terra Leman Russ shall escort him. compliant but weary Magnus insists Fulgrim flees the system until they can explain the madness that has been wrought (but by this time there is a traitor in Magnus's Midst, Ahriman) Knowning theyre cover is close to being blown Ahriman sends a telepathic message to a former comrade and rune preist Othere Wyrdmake, http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Ahriman#.T01GdfW0NgE) by usuing his powers of manipulation he makes out Fulgrim, Horus and Magnus are all in a secret alliance and must be stopped, Horrified by the turn of events Le Man Russ is left with no other choice but to engage his brothers in combat (as a warp storm leaves him unable to send any messages bck to Terra to seek further advice)

They could, I think that if Abaddon gives into Chaos to "save" the Imperium from the future Erebus showed him (It of course back-fires, like it did in the Horus Heresy), he will be willing to use the agression chips. I included it to give Angron a reason to stay loyal and it would give the World Eaters a very good reason to betray the Imperium (losing a good friend/feeling humillated/longing for the bloodlust etc.)

 

On the Alpha Legion, do you want no Primachs to turn or would it be okay if one of the twins did turn?

I ask because I think each would know if the other was a clone.

Your story, I was going to mention something almost identical, except with the Anthame (sp?). But in addition to those visions I would include visions in which he sees the future if he wouldn't rebel. (which of course, Chaos being Chaos, is exacly what will happen when he rebels.)

Sorry i meant the Anthame, and yes, i love the Chip removal idea, This culd be what turns Khârn over to chaos aswell, after the first 7 generals died trying to sway Angron to the Imperium, the loss of more of his loyal brthren through having their chips removed makes him resent Angron, as he views it as Angron is going back ont the promised to combine the ideals held by the world Eaters and Angrons past.

 

Now with Alpharius and Omegon, My idea is that with civil war currentlry happening (Russ engaging Horus and Magnus on prospero) and the vengeful Iorn hands hunting down the Emperors Children (the loyalists who have no idea whats happened either) another war kicks of in which the Entire IH legion assaults Fulgrims legion, with news of the events errupting all over the imperium the Alpha Legion investigate the initial assault on Ferrus Manus, Alpharius or Omegon (can't decide which yet) come across vital information which shows messages being broadcast from the 'EC's' transport used by the cloned EC's to assault Ferrus in the first plaec. They identify that the encryptions being used do not match the vessels identity. With this news Alpharius leaves for Terra to report what has happended and Omegon follows up the signals leading the first company to the sleeping necron world in which Ferrus is trapped.

 

Now Omegon Enteres the world with his first company and is assaulted by all forms of degenertive monsters and clones, fightign his way to the centre of the world they come across The main laboratory and find Fabius is trying to clone Ferrus (but with no success as the Dragon shard within him is resisting all forms of DNA extraction) Here Fabius unleashes a beast of Slaneesh upon Omegon taking him by suprise and knocking him out, whilst unconcious Fabius clones him and his dead 1st legion warrios and sends them back to their parent legion, in which they disguise themselfs and the cloned Omegon launch an inner covert war of deception and destruction amongst the Alpha Legion, While Alpharius lands on Terra and reports his findings his is distraught to hear his own Legion is engaged in war in the Ultramar sector (under the leadership of the cloned Omegon claiming authority in Alpharius's absence) along with deamon host cloned warriors of the Word Bearers, He is then imprisoned and this is where i wanna try and bring Night Haunter in and etc.

 

Now my other idea for the Turn coat Iron hand would be Gabriel Santar, he is killed engaging the loyalist Emperors children and his body is then abducted by Alpha Legion clones after intial reports reach Fabius of the impending war with his ex legion.

I think it would be good if you listed the events you want to happen in order of when they take place. Because it's a little confussing to see when what happens.

I've taken the liberty to make a start.

 

-Curze discovers that Nostramo has fallen to their criminal ways in his absence. He forces the recruited criminals to paint their gauntlets "sinners red".

-Seventar revolts, leading the "sinners", and starts a shadow war against the Imperium.

-Fulgrim leads the Emperor's Children to victory on Laer. Having see the Laer Fabius Bile starts to experment on his brothers. when Fulgrim finds out Fabius is forced to flee, finally ending up on a tomb world where he creates his labratory.

-Horus is wounded on Davin, after recovering he appoints Sanguinius as acting Warmaster. He then leaves and travels the Imperium to gain knowledge about Chaos. eventualy ending up on Prospero.

-Erebus contacts Fabius and together they start work on an army of clone Astartes.

-Sanguinius uses his authority to reorganize the Legions and forces the World Eaters to remove their agression chips.

-After being stripped of his rank Abaddon is contacted by Erebus who tries to turn him. After initially failing to do so Erebus wounds Abaddon with the Anthame. Abaddon is show vissions of the Imperium if he does not rebel along with others in wich he leads humanity to their victory as Warmaster.

-Abaddon vanishes from the Imperium and starts building an army in a warpstorm surrounded system.

-Abaddon attacks lightly guarded worlds and exterminates their poppulation in order to summon Daemons.

-Sanguinius assembles a force to retake those worlds. (They would be slaughtered, allowing the Chaos forces to march on Terra.)

-The Iron Hands are attacked by the Emperor's Children. Ferrus is lured into a trap on the Tomb World and is imprisoned by Fabius.

-The Alpha Legion investigates the attack while the Iron Hands attack the Emperor's Children. Rather then fight servants of the Emperor Fulgrim orders his Legion to run, himself going to Prospero.

-Magnus sents a message to Terra in defiance of the decree of Nikkae.

-The Emperor orders Leman Russ to escort Magnus to Terra.

-Ahriman contacts Ohtere and brands Horus, Fulgrim and Magnus as traitors and Prospero a trap to destroy the Space Wolves.

-With no way to contact the Emperor, Leman Russ leads his Legion into battle on Prospero.

-Having found information about the true identity of the "Emperor's Children" Alpharius/Omegon travels to Terra to present his case to the Emperor himself.

-Alpharius/Omegon is captured by Fabius and cloned.

-The Ultramarines are attacked by the Alpha Legion.

 

Just my thought on the timeline.

Beautiful ordering of the time line, now problems we will need to adress are as follows, (so that time line may be prone to mix's and matchs')

 

I would like to try and keep a pre war theme of Magnus and Night Haunter being close friends (as portrayed in the Dorian Heresy) so he is suseptable to interpereting the visions that come to him, With Knowledge of Alpharius (I've decided him) capture and imprisonment and a vision of the Erebus's plans, Night Haunter himself goes renegade (not to harm the imperium but to set free his brother and reveal whats actually happening) he breaks into the vaults of Terra and Frees Alpharius, stating he has seen what will happen, the Night Lords flee with Alpharius on route to the Necron World.

 

the Imperium now confused as to whats happening within the legions as all hell has broken loose summon all available Primarchs to Terra, Notably,

 

The Lion (leaving Luther alone, allowing for him to side with Chaos as in the normal 40k timeline)

 

Vulkan( I have no idea of how to go about his story line as of yet)

 

Mortation (now I still want his ship to be engulfed by the destoryer, but the frigate that is escorting them (with Garro aboard) risks an emergency mission to save Mortarion and in doing so reveal Typhus for the trairot that he is) Garros ship is dammaged as per the usual 40k story and they end up detonating the core to gain the attention of Dorns ships that rescue them)

 

Purtabo (who will actually end up resolving his differences with Dorn, Now the idea for Iron warrior turn coats is simple, as they are thinly garrisoned throughout the Imperium they can be abducted and cloned easily and what have you)

 

Now the Units that wont make it back to Terra Will be

 

Angron ( as he will be intercepted by his old commander Khârn, now dubbed Khârn the Betrayer by him, supported by doombreed http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Doombreed#.T05YwvW0NgE and the world eaters that didnt have their chips removed - needs more fleshing out

 

Corax - in a freak turn of Events (during a warp jump) come across the Night Lords fleet, knowing that they are presently renegades, Seeing no choice but to confront their brothersthe Raven Guard Block the Night lords path and demmand to know why they commited such actions, Night Haunter and Alpharius Agree and meet with Corax , after the situation is all explained, Alpharius urges Corax to find out the reason for his twins actions in their stead and agrees, As Corax's forces then head to the Alpha legions forces attacking The ultramar segmentum to comfront Omegons clone (not knowing his an evil clone of course) he parlays with the Ultramarine forces to stand down and allow him to investigate the matter, upon meeting with Omegon, Corax sees that something is clearly wrong but does not have time to act upon it as Alpha legionares (not clones) are instrcuted to launch attacks whilst disguised as the Raven Guard, This results in Corax's forces being taken of guard from assaults by the Ulteramarines resulting in losing 2/3 rds of their chapter, near ahniliation they flee to Terra leaving the clone Omegon to wage war upon the Ultramarines once more.

 

Now Corax Returns and requests to use the ancient tech to re create his legion at a fast pace (un aware of Alpha legionaries infiltrating the survivors as per the normal 40k) After copying the blue prints which they send to Fabius and destorying the Gene tech so they can not be used by the Raven Gaurd, Fabius begins work on the Weregeld form of Chaos Warriors. (AKA predator but on a bad day!) which means he doesnt create the weregeld himself and doesnt lose his sanity, trsuting to refine his form of Covert Ops even more, resulting in Super Elite stealth Units.

Great idea, I always thought it was kind of weird that Horus turned, and the storyline offers a distinct possibility that Sanguinius will survive. Speaking of the winged primarch, I think you should find some way of working his foresight powers in, possibly involving him developing some way to preventing his warriors from being cloned in advance (Just like he made the sanguinary priests to combat the flaw, even though it didn't appear untill after he died.) Another possibility is that Blood Angel clones instantly go into the Red Thrist on creation and destroying everything around them, because they don't have Sanguinius' physic powers containing it. Although they could be sedated and used suicide assault units...

You Hit the nail on the head, (In a manner of speaking) The idea is when Sanguinius goes to save Angron from the Deamon Army and Renegade world eaters thats when the greater deamon of khorne (the Blood Thirster who broke his legs) appears, with blood lust running rife through the legion and their Primarch laying there broken, the Black rage sets in, basically the whole legion goes haywire and cast down everyone, deamons and brother alike, those able to control their rage (as Sanguinius being a pshyker feels the change and fights against it, I will also tie this control in with a missing Primarch) awake within them the purity of Sanguinius and grow wings (yes blood angels with real wings), whilst those who are not worthy and lose the plot, fall to their dark master, now the spin of here though is that Although the blood angels that have turned no longer serve Sanguinius they take on a very unforseen aspect, Fighting the Dark opression with themselfs they hear a voice, a voice that fights agaisnt all evils and oppression, even evils that lay within good.

 

The Turn coats become the Angels of Malice (Malal), Striking down Chaos and Imperial alike, with black and white armour, true to Malals nature they suffer the Black rage and are prone to turning on themselfs.

 

Thats the plan (They will also be tied in with Sanguinius personality) At times he is angelic and divine.....but he is a mutant (of sorts even though his mutation is a beautiful one) when he becomes enraged with sickening blood lust he turns his wings become a shade of black and the Angels of Malice may rally to his side.

 

Edit: Also as all Astartees are able to be cloned it would not be a problem to have Blood Angel clones inducted into the ranks of chaos (Im thinking BA Clones with Deamonic Wings for nice mini conversions <_< )

And the Malal idea transfers into the modern 40k as in the future Lord Dante is eleven hundred years old (in the normal 40k timeline) on his 1111th year Dante (in my universe) will reuinite him with his true farther legion (The 11th legion, missing Primarch) This will inclue a snippet of Dantes encarsaration, (and the banishment of the original 11th legion of Which Dante was a true astaree, he was etoumbed in a stasis pod as a young child undergoing the change to astaree in the Vaults f Terra, untill m40 when he was freed by agents of the Angels of Malice seeking Sanguinius's downfall. so on his accession to M41 he would class as the 1111 year old sacrafice needed to bring the 11th Primarch back into the universe after his banishment by the hands of Sanguinius and the Emperor.

 

Hence why he wears a gold mask in my universe (but carved into the face of the 11th Primarch) :teehee:

Was toying with the Idea of the Initial battle on Prospero,

 

With the Sons of Horus and 1K sons holding off against the Space Wolves (With Constantine Valador and a few custodes at the Space Wolves Side) The Space Wolves carve a bloody path towards Magnus casting down all in their wake, Hesitant to fight Magnus and Horus are dumb founded at this new wave of aggression sent to destroy them and try to sway their brother to reason but to no avail.

Seeing his home world a blaze and coming to ruin Magnus Engages Russ (as per normal 40k story line) trying to subdue his brothers assault and make him see reason. Just as Magnus is lifted into the air by Russ and reasy to be bought down over his knee, in a flash of Ocean Green and Gold Horus intervenes slamming into Le Man Russ.

 

After an epic fight scene (entitled : Clash of the Emperors Wolves) The fight between Horus and Le Man is halted by Constantine. After the initial confusion and after the Rune Priest Othere Wyrdmake comes forth to explain the Heresy revealed to him of Ahriman, Sensing he has been Caught Ahriman sees no choice but to Unleash his Secret Weapon, The Ruberic of Ahriman, By utilizing his Cabal Ahriman sets upon Phosis T'Kar ( http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Phosis_T%27Kar#.T1kJKPW0NgE ) who has been injured in the subsequent battle (instead of becoming a mindless chaos spawn) Stealing the great sorcerers essence he and a Cabal of Tzeentch aligned traitors call upon the Warp using Phosis as a sacrifice.

Prospero is engulfed in blue and Yellow Lightening which strikes down both the Thousand sons (Turning the weak willed and non pshykers into the mindless automatons and great sorcerers of Tzeenth, whilst only the strongest of 1k Librarians are able to resist and protect some of their brothers ) and the Space Wolves (Inciting the change into Were Wolves, Upon Which Bjorn the Fell Handed becomes inflicted and become the leader of the chaos tainted wolves)

 

Magnus (still conscious) can feel the warp overcoming the planet and with the assistance of his legion and the pshykers of the Space Wolves and Sons of Horus create a Barrier around Prosperos Capital City protecting the survivor from the machinations of Tzeentch. In an epic Struggle Magnus and his legion are able to sustain the defences whilst Horus and Russ charge of to find Arhiman. Confronted along the way by Ruberic’s and Werewolf Space Wolves.

 

Horus, Russ and their honour guards confront Ahriman wreathed in chaos energies, enraged by the turn of events, trickery upon his legion and degenerative change into man beasts pulsing through his warriors Russ and his honour guard charge Ahriman only to be stuck down by the immense power he now wields. Horus realising the affliction calls for Constantine (whose purpose for being assigned to the space wolves soon becomes clear…..or at least in my 40k universe becomes clear)

 

Bringing forth a container bearing the Emperor’s Tarot ( http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Emperor%27...ot#.T1kN4PW0NgE ) , Constantine casts the cards at Ahriman unsure of what purpose they will serve (as the tarot was intentionally ment for Magnus to allow him see why his father was dissapointed in him). (Tzeentch watching the battle unfold before him is amused by the cards and cannot resist the opportunity to delve into the open thoughts of the Emperor) His power shifted from his champion Ahriman, Horus leaps forwards casting his sword into the Sorcerers chest almost killing Ahriman. Seeing no chance for victory Ahirman and his cabal retreat through the warp to safety and the assault upon Prospero from the warp is ceased.

 

Whilst the Ruberics and Ahriman escape the Werewolves of the Space wolves break ranks and flee , lead by Bjorn who carries his new found brethren into the service of Khorne. (Hence chaosy space Wolves)

Horus, Magnus and Russ’s remaining legions reconcile, and break for Terra to inform the Emperor of the treachery at hand.
