Treed
Hi there, I've just started painting again after around 15 years. I'm starting on a Space Marine army, and I've decided to make a custom chapter. I'm going for a deep red armour with bronze trim, and I'm using robes on quite a few of them. I've just painted one, and went for a grey robe, but it looks quite sucky so I'm thinking I might change it to black. However painting black has always been in a pain for me. So does anyone have some tips on how to paint black robes/cloth? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/247820-painting-black-robes/ Share on other sites
Droma
Paint black, then hightlight with adeptus battle grey then codex gray. You can add inbetween layers if you wish by blending colors between steps.
