Brother Seraphion
Not though any of the literature that I have perused and remember but considering the size the Space Wolves legion was meant to be during the Great Crusade I really wouldn't believe it to be less than 20 Wolf Guard, unless his retinue is simply referring to either Freki and Geki or the military and strategic advisers in which case there could be a few dozen of them. Maybe someone else has a more factually grounded view but there's a few ideas Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/247833-leman-russ-personal-retinue/#findComment-3001532 Share on other sites
lothbrok
well nothing ever gives specifics on his retinue, except that they evidently liked harpoon spears, but everything i have read and heard implies that unlike his brothers he actually had a company of his own just like the great wolf. on a related note we do know Bullveye was his champion and his right hand man before he got the legion and "wolf at the door" sort of impies this relationship continued. Valerian
I don't think anything the Studio has printed has ever said how many were in his his retinue, and I only know the name of one of them, other than the two Fenrisian Wolves that accompanied him. hendrik
wasn't bjorn one of his retinue? yes! and the only one he didn't took with him when he dissapeared. i guess it boils down to what we understand under the retinue, take for example charles the bold, the duke of burgundy. this chap had a "bodyguard"(the ducal guard) consisting of over 900 man, of which about 600 were mounted. however i don't think they all were his real bodyguards if you know what i mean Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/247833-leman-russ-personal-retinue/#findComment-3002907 Share on other sites
Valerian
wasn't bjorn one of his retinue? Yes, and he's the one that I was referring to when I stated above that, "I only know the name of one of them." Since he is the only one that has ever been named by the Studio, I though it was too obvious to state.
