Deliverance Lost

I always enjoy it when a positive or interesting remark is made about the Space Wolves when reading a 40K novel, especially in the Horus Heresy Series. Here is one that I encountered while reading Deliverance Lost, it is nothing special but I thought I'd share it with all of the Fang (at least for those who haven't read the novel):

- While on Deliverance a wager is made between Commander Branne of the Raven Guard and Captain Noriz of the Imperial Fists on which Primarch will manage to kill Horus. Branne and some of the Raven Guard bet on Russ and the sons of Fenris, going so far as to say that the whole rebellion would end sooner when they get in to it. The Imperial Fists Captain proposes Sanguinius (not a bad choice), certain that nothing can stop the Angel of Death from taking revenge on the Warmaster.

Well we all know how it ends! Hope you found it interesting....and long live the Raven Guard and their good opinions!

A good book, almost makes me want to start a small Raven Guard force.

Know no Fear has a similar passage. It's not a spoiler so I won't tag it as such.

One of the senior marines notes that Guiilliman refers to some of the Primarchs as 'the dauntless few'. Manus, Sanguinius, Dorn and Russ. Although Russ is described as ill tempered and argumentative, they believe any battle could be won if the Ultras could join forces with anyone of those four.

Both are really good books in my opinion.
