Would Bran Redmaw run Thunderwolf Cavalry

I'm loving the new Thunderwolf Models that were just released and also love Bran Redmaw's Forgeworld Paintscheme and iconography. I also love that Grey Hunters can infiltrate under his rule set. He's just a great all around character and I've used Wolf Scouts since 3rd edition. Having Grey Hunters that can go behind enemy lines seems like even more fun!

However, I'm torn... It seems like Bran Thunderwolves are two separate play styles... perhaps I need to find another Wolf Lord and therefore icon to adopt.

Do you think Thunder Wolf Cavalry has a place in a Bran Redmaw army? To take that to it's extreme, would Bran himself over ride to battle on top of one> Granted if he rode a wolf, I couldn't use his Forge World optional rules of course.

What do you think? Do I need to find a new wolf lord?

i think its fine. nothing say that he does not use them (and even if it did, you could disregard it). its just that he does not use them as much as Harold Deathwolf. as far as the mount, fluff-wise i would say no. he defiantly has his own way of doing things (like ripping his armor off to turn into a monstrous creature so that he con eat land raiders for his daily iron intake).

Ha! Exactly!

Okay, so no Wolf Lord on a Thunderwolf, but a Wolf Guard Battle Leader would be fine? I am going out of my way to avoid Grey Hunter Spam, Razorback Spam amd Missle Launcher Long Fang spam. I don't want to go with a Wolf Lord on a wolf in Bran's Great Company and labeled as trying to get the best of both worlds or bending fluff to meet in game needs.

Is there a Wolf Lord that might be a better fit for a mixed company like what I'm proposing and will still ride a Thunder Wolf? I should re-read the Wolf Lord descriptions in the codex again.
