Sol622
I have been infiltrating them 18 away from enemies, then scouting them 6, and then moving 6, then shooting with a double tapped melta, then assaulting with a fist/ But reading the scout rule it ways I must be MORE than 12 away from an enemy when I scout, so even if i infiltrate at exactly 18" do i steel have to remain 12.ooooo1 inches away? Have I been accidentally cheating? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248343-scouts-have-i-been-using-them-wrong/ Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Long story short- yes you have. Its impossible to get a first turn assault with a scouting unit that doesnt have fleet. IE- not in the SW codex. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248343-scouts-have-i-been-using-them-wrong/#findComment-3007723 Share on other sites

Yes. :) Don't worry, we all make mistakes sooner or later ;) If it were me, in order to keep a good relationship with your buddies, I'd own up to it and say sorry, even though it were purely accidental. People seem to like it when I admit I'm wrong :) Anyway, don't be too hard on yourself, it happens :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248343-scouts-have-i-been-using-them-wrong/#findComment-3007728 Share on other sites

Well i certainly wouldn't :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248343-scouts-have-i-been-using-them-wrong/#findComment-3007884 Share on other sites

Have I been accidentally cheating? Yes and quite badly. Along with the other points mentioned, meltaguns are not rapid fire. They are assault and thus only one shot. Unless you have a WG attached with a combi-melta that you didn't mention. Plus you might be better of OBEL then trying to infiltrate. Sorry, shoulda clarified, "double tap" is the term in my store for rolling two d6 for armor pen. Damn, shoulda read the rules better. I thought that scouts seemed a little broken. lol Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248343-scouts-have-i-been-using-them-wrong/#findComment-3007988 Share on other sites
