I participated to a 2000 pts tournament yesterday and carried out the day :blink: Once again I went hybrid, my army list was as follows: Mephiston – Lord of Death Sanguinary Priest Rhaseza / JP - MB Sanguinary Priest Rumi / JP Assault Squad Petrus / 10man - JP - MGx2-PF Assault Squad Domenico / 10man - JP - MGx2-PF Assault Squad Avicenna / 10man - JP - MGx2-PF Assault Squad Elias / 5man – MG / Rback Loyalty LC-TLPG Assault Squad Fulcanelli / 5man – MG / Rback Sacrifice LC-TLPG Assault Squad Algazel / 5 man / Rback Honor TLAC Predator Orion AC-LC Predator Artemis AC-LC Predator Apollo AC-LC I played againds Tyranids (Null Deployment), Space Wolves (Grey Hunter and Long Fang Spam fully mechanized backed-up by two dreads), IG (Leafblower style with a big infantry blob). We were playing Dawn of War deployment Annihilation (you had to score 3 units more in order to win) I basically moved all my army to the center. The Jumpers were within the armored wall and I made an almost perfect circle with the tanks. I popped smoke and when they arrived I killed the big bugs via heavy fire and assaulted the small ones. Mephiston's kill count: 5 genestealers, 3 Zoantrophes. Versus Wolf, I went full reserve except for Mephiston. I deep struck with my assault squad behind the buildings where the long fangs were located in order to avoid missile fire and put some pressure on from the front via the tanks and Mephiston. Mephiston's kill count: 12 Long Fangs, 20 Grey Hunters Versus IG, I once again went for full reserve except Mephiston. I basically sacrificed him to draw heavy weapons fire while my other units got into position, so no kills from him but thanks to him I was able to stun lock the big artillery pieces and assault the gun line from two separate wings via deep striking assault marines. I'd love to see if the same strategies could be applied at a lower pts level or whether the individual expensive units (Meph, Assault Squads, etc) started adding up.
