Token
This wolfguard will probably go with wolfscouts. I think he looks kinda cool with a two handed thunderhammer (twohanded axe with terminator hammer head). I thought to attach a melta gun on one arm and bolter on the other, but i think he looks too clumpsy or like a transformer or something.. I need ideas on how to model the combimelta on the modell. http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x389/Torkor/wolfguardmelta01.jpg http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x389/Torkor/wolfguardmelta02.jpg http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x389/Torkor/wolfguardmelta03.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248358-need-ideas-on-how-to-model-combimelta-on-wolfguard/ Share on other sites
Arkkinite
I'm just a bloodclaw, so take this advice at your own risk! You could attach a stormbolter to one of his arm (on this model maybe the right) and instead of having double bolter mussel, you cut them off, then get a melta gun and a normal bolter/bolt pistol mussel and attach it to the stormbolter. Kinda like how they do it here http://space-wolves-grey.blogspot.com/2011...sion-guide.html The lack of space to put a mag might be a visual problem for some though.... Pall Ironbear
Personally I would go with a normal combi weapon either mag-locked to the armour, or on a sling. That would give the impression that he has moved from his ranged weapons and prepping for CC Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248358-need-ideas-on-how-to-model-combimelta-on-wolfguard/#findComment-3007834 Share on other sites
Tsuro
I agree with Ironbear - weapon on sling is probably the best option here. Here's how GW did it with Helbrecht http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/3/0/6/5/7/6/webimg/539973346_o.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248358-need-ideas-on-how-to-model-combimelta-on-wolfguard/#findComment-3008199 Share on other sites

Xeenos
Freman's pic is a lot like what i did, but using bolters and meltas i had. I shaved to top of the bolter flat, then shaved the bottom of the Melta flat and they fit together rather nice. Edit: Actually it might have been the other way around, as the melta is bigger the bolter fit on top of it nice, then i glue the clip to the side of the bolter case so you still have your mag. I was also thinking that something like a tech priest servo arm with a melta on it. Actually the image that came to mind was of the Predator plasma casters that are shoulder mounted. Might be able to make something nifty that is not to intrusive on the overall flow of the figure. Oh and that GW combi Melta looks like pooh.. its a bolt pistol stuck to the bottom of a melta? Just kinda makes me say Ew. Matt D
if you still would like to go with two hands on the weapon you might want the bits from the blood angels infernos piston and there wrist mounted bolt pistol or the grey knights with wrist mounted storm bolter replacing one barrel with a melta one...
