henrywalker
so i know that lots of thin coats is the way to go with yellow but i was wondering which combination of yellow you guys use. what color do you start from? I could imagine starting with an orange to make it rich and golden. any thoughts? Matt D
i personally base coat black, add about 3 layers of golden yellow, then wash it with badab black. i know this may not be what you are after but for me i love the grimy look of it on my blood/sky claws. Wulfebane
Iyanden darksun over whatever the primer might've been. Washed the crevice edges with ogryn flesh. Several thin layers of golden yellow. -Any section of the shoulder pad that are in shadow (I just go with the OSL direction being overhead) I build up with a mix of golden yellow and vermin fur with a ratio where there's never more vermin fur than yellow. alphariusomegon20
The most recent painting article about the Twolves states to base Iyanden Darksun, wash Gryphonne Sepia, layer Iyanden leaving a thin line of Sepia showing at the edges, and highlight bleached Bone just inside of the line of Sepia. Looks good after you're done. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248528-yellow-shoulders/#findComment-3009522 Share on other sites

Gives a nice yellow that isn't to bright and doesn't make your wolves look like they are ripped strait from the page of a comic book. pedrogzc
Over a grey primer, first basecoat tausept ocre, then mix 1-1 tau + iyanden darksun, then 1-2 of the same mix and finally if you want, just iyanden. Finish with a brown line. This is how it get. http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/1823/leyendacazadoresplasmer.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248528-yellow-shoulders/#findComment-3010662 Share on other sites
Marshal Wilhelm
I really like the yellow this guy does: Forum of Doom - Bulldog's work I emailed him, but no reply.... I have always been a fan of yellow, and whenever I see it painted to my tastes, I really like it :tu: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/BulldogUK/WolfTerminators6.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248528-yellow-shoulders/#findComment-3010994 Share on other sites
