I browsed through the lexicanum to find a chapter that I liked the look of and decided on the firehawks. I note you're going old school with the scheme, not the newer FW scheme. Cheers dude, its taken me a few minis to find a yellow that I really liked. Im not keen on the new FW colouration as Im not too keen on orange. I tried using sunburst yellow but its too bright, I tried using golden yellow but thought it was too orangey, so made my own with a bit of trial and error which is an approximate 70-30 mix of sunburst yellow and iyanden darksun Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have managed to get a few LOTD minis and I have a few in paint so I could practice painting black, which I find is worse than yellow. You get good coverance with the paint but its a bitch to highlight. I'll post up some more pics once Ive completed some more minis.
