ShinyRhino
Hey all. I'm close topulling the trigger on a purchase of some of the Forgeworld armor sets, most likely a Mk4 kit, but have some questions for those who have been long-time FW buyers. I currently own four of the Mk4 helmets from the Red Scorpions and Vet Sgt Haas kit that came out years ago. Nicely detailed, but TINY. SO much so that the helmets cannot beused on current Marine plastics. They seriously look like pinheads because the helmet bitz are about 25% smaller than standard plastic helmets. How are the sizes of the "new" Mk4 kit compared to the "old" Red Scorpions kit? Are they of proper scale now, or not? I don't want to sink a hefty chunk of change into a kit, only to discover they won't match up properly with current generation plastics, like the "old" helmets fail to do. Glaeken Templaris
Well looking as the models currently on the forgeworld site and with them mixing standard plastic kits with the current kits gives you a really good size comparison. from what ive seen everything they their churning out now is bang on in the size department so splurge away your pennies on many mk4 helmets lol Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248575-old-forgeworld-parts-versus-new-forgeworld-parts/#findComment-3009752 Share on other sites
cathar the great
One of my Marines has a Mk4 head on a regular body, I don't think it looks too small or out of place: Hope this helps Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248575-old-forgeworld-parts-versus-new-forgeworld-parts/#findComment-3009837 Share on other sites
