The Crimson Cartel
Quick query brothers. When painting up your models with winged JP's, which colors do you prefer to wash the recesses with? Black? Blue? Other? Thanks! -CC
Cyto
I usually base it white and then badab black wash the entire wing twice followed by 2-3 layers of skull white on each wing. Comes out to something like this guys wings: http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p35/CytoBS/IMG_0223.jpg
Res Ipsa Loquitur
I didn't wash mine because I'm lazy. I just basecoated them a blue-grey that I mixed myself (but which is pretty much Space Wolves Grey) and then drybrushed them white. If I had to use a wash, it'd be blue. Zealadin
I use chestnut ink over Dheneb Stone, then highlight feathers with Dheneb Stone again, then highlight tips with white. A light wash of Ogryn Flesh over the 'feathered' area prior to the white wash can work well, and can replace chestnut ink as well. Working on some right now <_<
