Stercus
I'm about to start building a squad of scout bikers to use in my DIY chapter, and want to equip the sergeant with a power fist in case I feel the need to hit vehicles or elite troops on the first turn. Unfortunately, all of the power armour sized fists look unwieldy or clumsy when I try to fit them to a scout torso. I was thinking about using the powerfist from the Cadian command squad (with the markings filed off) instead. Has anyone tried this before? WarriorFish
I have, it works very well as the normal marine power fist is too large. I went the extra mile and used a scout arm and replaced most of the hand and forearm with the Cadian fist. Very easy to remove the chevrons too so it wasn't a difficult conversion. Unfortunately I don't have a good camera (or much painting talent) to show you. I can try and see if I can borrow a better camera for a picture unless another brother can show you something similar sooner. Stercus
Sweet. I'll give it a go. I think the standard powerfully is ok on scout infantry, but I couldn't see the guy steering a bike wearing one. WarriorFish
Sorry for the delay, I've been very busy but I managed to borrow my brother's iPhone for a couple of pictures. As promised some poor pictures of my scout Sergeant: http://lordri.gibbering.net/random/IMG_1008.JPG http://lordri.gibbering.net/random/IMG_1009.JPG The second picture shows where I made the chop for the fist and arm, I think it works well :D Best bit is he gets his first game Wednesday, and my first game for quite some time! Wish him luck :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248672-scouts-with-power-fists/#findComment-3016783 Share on other sites
Kierdale
That looks really good. Not too big. Good luck with him, WarriorFish. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248672-scouts-with-power-fists/#findComment-3017019 Share on other sites

Mutters
I just used the power fists from my AoBR Terminators, since I never use them. I cut off the shield but keep the oversized shoulderpad. It looks a little wonky, but I'll run some models that look wonky so that it's super easy to pick out special wargear on the tabletop at a glance.
