Captain Juan Juarez
Legio Metallica, known informally as the Iron Skulls, are actually a Loyalist Titan Legion having fought for Armageddon at least once - Second War iirc - according to my memory. The Harrowmaster
So does this meen my chapter juat cant use this name ? I'm sure there must be other situations where chapters, regiments and legions or even individual squads have shared names? Walter Payton
So does this meen my chapter juat cant use this name ? Yeah, there's room for two lots of Iron Skulls. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248772-iron-skulls/#findComment-3012232 Share on other sites
Dosjetka
Go for it mate  Just because a Titan Legion has the same name, doesn't mean you can't use it. Besides, it's the Titan's nickname, not its actual name (which is, as pointed out by CJJ, Legio Metallica) Ludovic Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248772-iron-skulls/#findComment-3012236 Share on other sites

Captain Juan Juarez
I was being informative, rather than gainsaying.. Or so I thought. Aye, Legio and Chapter interactions are probably not anything but a rare occurence and even if the Legio Metallica are a storied Legion that doesn't mean your guys have heard of them. My issue would be if there was another Chapter known as the Iron Skulls, official or otherwise known about, but that's my personal thing as an elitist. Alecto, a Lannister? Ace Debonair
odd..i had an idea of calling my chapter the iron skulls too...theres room for lots of iron skulls in the 40k universe in my opinion...:( I've seen three Chapters other than mine called the Steel Dragons over the last few years. I've even done my best to encourage their development, because what people can use the name to symbolise is a very, very broad wealth of things. The same is true of Iron Skulls, I suspect. In short, go for it, both of you. :( EDIT: Typo. Grr. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248772-iron-skulls/#findComment-3012598 Share on other sites
