Dark Bjoern
Hi Folks, like the title of this topic already says is my question about bases for titans. Those of you who have already a Warhound Titan, what material have you used for the base? My first thought was wood, but then it came to my mind, that if it gets wet (painting it) it could become bent/warped/whatever. What about acrylic? someone tried it with it? I would be pleased to hear some opinions, experiences, advice. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/248824-titan-basing/ Share on other sites
GhostLegion
i didnt use a base for the whole footprint of the warhound due to what I thought would be an excessive size. Instead, i put a base slightly larger than each foot under the pads as it steps. this way i can manage to fit the titan onto a table without moving terrain around too terribly and have a slightly larger area to support the titan on its base (excuse the second meaning of the term here). as far as material...well since im not picking up and moving the titan by its base, but by its body...well I used 1/4 inch plasticard cut around the foot. I dont think its a perfect job, and I dont think its a display ready job....but it works for my purposes. Araziel
I'm in the middle of scratch-building a Warhound out of foam board, and I've used a 7" vinyl record as a base. I realise though that a FW sculpt probably won't work with this due to it being too heavy, I just thought I'd throw my two cents in.
