transorD
Hello all! I was hoping the painting community here might be able to give me some advice on my Wolf Guard terminators. I was trying to jazz up the power weapons, but I'm not sure I achieved the lightning effect I was hoping for. I should mention that I'm admittedly not a very strong painter (just a "for fun" thing for me) and this is my first attempt at this sort of effect. A close up of the claws in question: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v214/transord/DSC_0001.jpg The whole squad so far. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v214/transord/DSC_0003.jpg Any guidance on the lightning effect would be greatly appreciated! henrywalker
here is a video about thunder hammers, the technique can be used for any power weapons. claws can be a bit finnicky cos of how small they are. the way i do them is pretend that all the claws are one piece, ie the lightning is going between them ignoring the gaps, the results are pretty good.
