purifiers list and Necrons

My last game was my first against the Necrons since their new codex and it was a weird game.

My list was like:

Inquisitor with grenades

2x 5 purifier + razor

Vindicare

2x5 strikes + razor

1x 10 strikes rhino

2 psyfledreads.

The game start badly and I stayed on my side. Near the end of turn 3, there was 2x15 warriors, 10 wariors + lord+ cryptek and a couple of destroyer cmoing on my objectives. This is where my purifiers start working.

I barely won the game having 1 squad of purifier wiping 15 warriors, and the other purifiers + inq. cleaning is home objective of immortals.

My frineds doesn't have a lot of new necrons, except 1 transport barge and 1 command barge (something like that), a cryptek and the stormlord.

With the success of my purifiers, I wanted to try a crowe purifiers spam list. (I never played one and it looks like a good time to do so)

Something like:

crowe

1 ven psyfledread

5x6 purifiers + razor

1x6 purifiers + rhino

or

crowe

Inq with grenades

1 ven dread

1 vindicare

5x6 purifiers

But there is something I am afraid. Without warp quake, there is not really anything to prevent the cryptek squad to teleport to my objective late game.

So I was thinking of

crowe

5x6 purifiers + razor

1x 10 strike + rhino

1 psyfledread

Keeping the 10 strike on my objective would allow me to warp quake and defend the objective. And I could use the rhino for Crowe. But 1 lone dread, not being venerable, wont really last long.

Any suggestions?

What was your game size? Doing it on the back of an envelope, I'm guessing 1.5k?

Purifier armies should do ok against Necrons, provided he doesn't bring Wraith spam. Just remember to bring all the psycannons you can, Necrons have pathetic anti-infantry so you can technically just outshoot them.

whoah there, necrons have some of the best (if not the best) anti-infantry in the game. their basic guns on their immortals are S5, and have the tesla rule. They also have the barges which can potentially generate 12 shots each, at S7. To put it another way, if the opponent has better than a 5+ armour save (like GK do), then a ten man immortals squad with tesla, is like psybolts on steroids (due to the extra hits, at the same strength).

To the OP, if you're worried about a last minute deep strike, then just place your models in layers around the objective. that way he cant teleport straight onto it, and you're also covering the area around, so he cant teleport within the three inches.
