Battlefoam pluck foam trays

Recommended Posts

Thinking of getting another PACK 720, but this one I was thinking of getting the pluck foam so I can expand, the problem I have with pluck foam is that in the past, with the Sabol stuff, I have found that the walls that separate the cells can get rather flimsy and are not attached to the bottom foam piece...in other words the foam is only attached on the edges, and not all over, hope that makes sense.

Anyone who has purchased the Battlefoam pluck foam, how is the quality?

I have extensive experience with the Sabol trays, but none with the BattleFoam trays.

To "fix" your sabol trays, you need the following:

* Contact Cement (in a tin)

* Flux brushes (cheap $0.10)

1) Apply the contact cement to both surfaces to be joined and let dry completely.

2) Push both surfaces together and the bond is permanent.

Anyone have problems ordering from Sabol lately? I received an order last week the was missing an expensive item from my order.

I have one of the BF 2" thick pluck trays sitting on my workbench at home, though I haven't plucked any of the foam yet.

It seems like a nice, rigid design. The sections that join the pluck pieces seem to be cut nicely, so they won't pull apart after the fact. I cannot speak to how well they hold to the bottom of the tray though.

I think I'm never ordering from Sabol again. I've had zero communication from them to date about the missing item from my order ($79US worth).

If you are not purchasing from the FLGS, stay away from Sabol. Zero communication, no packing slip in the parcel, expensive shipping charges.
