So I have converted some Rubric marines...

One of them has a dead SW on his base, and now I am wondering, how do you paint their shoulders? I know they are quite colourful, but what to paint?

Seriously, if you have a SW opponent, then use his heraldry :) . If not, then I recommend the A B D E G L or M companies, as they are bright colours that stand out against the blue of the Sons/Puppehs

Ok, damn that yellow colour!!!! I will never EVER paint an imperial fists army!!!!!

...but this is definitely the first time I am painting a model from the base up!

Someday I will paint the nose of a wolf on there...whenever I learn how to freehand stuff...

Well, his buddy is already complete. It just took me a week! :)

My painting is...slow and purposeful... :Elite:

A squad of five, and it's going to take me a month more... *sigh*

Actually I loved those. :P I was just sarcastically referencing how the Rubric Marines aren't necessarily the best choice for CC in tabletop.(Or so I've been told.)

To be honest I was expecting someone to reply with "This is Prospero!" It sort of flows.

I knew the chainsword would be controversial, lol

Don't count out their mighty ONE attack each! :P

I pondered putting halberds or glaives(spell correction wanted this as laxatives, lol) on them, but since they are basically made from leftovers I had in my bitsbox I was a bit limited in my options...

Yeah, I like it too... I don't think i'd have the patience for that painting style the way know how too paint it. I must admit I like it better then mine in quite a few ways.

a tutorial might be in order ;)

i'm interested in the white highlights on the helmet, and the gold coloration is a series of washes?

Well, one of the reasons for chainswords is really the fact that I always liked the 2nd ed look of them, where they had "regular" equipment...

I played Thousand Sons back then, pew pew
