Color input requests please

I created a Loyalist Chapter that I am calling the "Void Eagles" so named because I was bored one day and started painting up a terminator. I love the paint scheme for the Terminator but don't think that the paint scheme will transfer very well into power armor or tanks. So I am looking for help finding a good paint scheme for my armor, I just can't seem to come to a good decision.

The overall idea of the army is to eventually make it into a full Chapter using all the loyalist codexes save the Grey Knights codex, I just wanna keep them at a different level. The basic fluff behind them being that they are a space born chapter. The entire chapter responded to a distress call from several world that all neighbored each other against a Chaos incursion. The Chapter fleet arrived just as warp storms closed off that sector oof space for over 200 years. When the storms finally disappated the chapter and the worlds they protected, after several decades of inquisitorial investigation, rejoined the imperium.

For the models themselves I am using a mixture of Blood Angels, Dark Angels, and Blood Ravens iconography.

I'll upload a picture of my terminator once I figure out just how to do that, but for now the Paint scheme is Black and edged with Midnight Blue, while the Crux Terminatus, and the Chest Eagle are Midnight Blue to sky blue (can't remember the GW name) to Skull White.

Thanks for all the help!!!!

well its hard to say without looking at your termie but as a general observation if your colour scheme is going to be different between different units then it really should be significantly different. take the dar angels for example. they have a very dark, rich green as their main colour but their alternative colour scheme is a light, pale bone. if they are too similar it might look like an accident, if they are contrasting but complimentary they will look very striking. It might be worth having some other units in your termie colours too, dreadnaughts for example

Here is the Terminator I painted up. He still needs to me cleaned up, and his Storm Bolter arm needs to be painted, but like I said I did it real quick when I was bored. Plus looking at the model in the picture I can pick out way more detail then on the model itself.

And Boogeyman I have tried it, but I find it good when you have a general idea of what you want not when you aren't sure at all what you want. Mostly because I find it to be a massive hastle to use.

I don't see why that scheme won't transfer over to power armour. :)

As far as the blue highlighting goes, I recommend at least two additional layers before you get to the light blue. The easy way would be to start with midnight blue, then regal blue, then get to the enchanted/ice blue as the edge highlight. A more advanced option would include mixing paints and even more layers in between (tending towards thin watered down layers as opposed to straight out of the pot).

And I'm going to be the first to say it - drilling out the barrels, while tedious at times, is a simple yet effective conversion you should consider.

If you're convinced that you need a different color scheme for your power armoured models, though, I suggest you click the link that BoogyMan^ provided and play around with the Space Marine painters. They won't give you the highlighting and blending, but they'll provide you with a sufficient idea of the base color scheme you can use.

Thank you for your suggestions, adding Dreadnoughts to the list of this paint scheme would look pretty good.

As far as the Space Marine painter, neither version 5 or 9 work. The pages load up but nothing on the marines will paint.

Also for the Terminator the lighting made everything a ton brighter than what it actually is on the model the first color I used was midnight blue, then on to regal, then a touch of ice then on to the skull white.

I am asking again for a good overall color scheme that is complimentary but with a big contrast. Thanks for everything so far and yet to come!
