Drunken Angel
I want to give my Librarian a teleport homer, put him in a Stormraven with some CC nasties and flat out across the board. Next turn I want to use summoning to bring 10 terminators across the board. The terminators will already be on the board not deepstriking from reserves. Teleport Homer Teleport homers emit a powerful signal enabling Grey Knight Strike Cruisers to lock on to them with their teleportation equipment. By utilising this signal, the risk of missing the intended mark is greatly reduced. If Grey Knight Strike Squads, Interceptor Squads or models in Terminator armour wish to teleport onto the battlefield via deep strike and choose to do so within 6' of a model carrying the homer, then they won't scatter. Note that the teleport homer only works for units that are teleporting, not other means. Also note that the homer must already be on the table at the start of the turn for it to be used The Summoning The Librarian creates a Warp bridge and summons BattleBrothers to his side. This power can be used at the beginning of the Librarian's Movement phase. If the Psychic test is successful, choose a friendly, non-vehicle unit that is not locked in combat anywhere on the battlefield. The chosen unit is removed from the tabletop and immediately placed anywhere within 6" of the Librarian using the Deep Strike rules. I just want to confirm that "other" means does not include summoning. Summoning uses the deep strike rules am I correct in this ? Has anyone tried this, how did it work out? Thanks in advance for your replies Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249129-librarian-with-teleport-homer/ Share on other sites
Morollan
I'm fairly sure there were lengthy debates on this on various forums. Not sure if it was ever FAQ'd. Gentlemanloser
The Summoning does not work with a TH. Stick the Libby in a SR with some Mystics. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249129-librarian-with-teleport-homer/#findComment-3017233 Share on other sites
Reclusiarch Darius
Irony; Chapter wargear doesn't work as intended, but random psykers from an Inquisitor's retinue do Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249129-librarian-with-teleport-homer/#findComment-3019847 Share on other sites

The Holy Heretic
Irony; Chapter wargear doesn't work as intended, but random psykers from an Inquisitor's retinue do Yeah funny, psykers should have a lot more affinity with mindless tech than other psykers, makes perfect sense :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249129-librarian-with-teleport-homer/#findComment-3020051 Share on other sites
Reclusiarch Darius
Yeah funny, psykers should have a lot more affinity with mindless tech than other psykers, makes perfect sense - Highly trained Astartes psyker with forbidden knowledge of how to open portals in reality and draw others to him - Dark Age relic whose only purpose is to guide teleported objects through the warp to realspace co-ordinates - Aside from the anomaly of Purgator Justicars, is the only other model in the army who has the option for a homer dun work - random low-powered psykers who recieve hardly any training and their main defence against warp corruption is they're too weak to bother with perfect! :) GW logic at it's finest Just sayin, shouldn't have to rely on the Inquisition's expendable meatbags for our Chapter strategies and powers to work (the 'Summoning' is unique, 'Gate' requires the psyker to be with the squad and works completely differently, not to mention some Chapters don't even have it). Machine God
C:SM Librarians do it similar with Locator Beacons for it to work, usually from Scouts or Drop Pods. Reclusiarch Darius
The annoying part with that is its means either A: buying drop pods (a losing strategy) or B: taking Scouts (not so bad, but they are chained to terrain and an objective so the beacon becomes more a 'bail us out of combat' mechanism). Perhaps thats why Matt shoehorned the homer onto the Purgator Justicar. They are about as bad as Scouts in close-combat, they only shoot and they are chained to terrain as well (LOS blocking terrain, in the imaginary bubble that the other writers exist, where this thing called geometry doesn't exist). Then they derped out with upgrade costs and nerfed 'Astral Aim' so it couldn't be useful. Aww yeah Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249129-librarian-with-teleport-homer/#findComment-3024261 Share on other sites
