NoHands
Hi, New guy around these parts (and W40K). Had a reasonable horrible experience playing 'nids as a 12 year old (mainly thanks to cheating friends...) and other than that never really collected W40K. Having read the BBC article on Warhammer, I decided to give it another go. What the heck, worst that could happen is I mis-spend some money. With this in mind, I decided to start a Space Marine army, more specifically, an Ultramarine army. Of course, now being (almost) self sufficient, I did something I was never able to do as a kid (after all, how do you justify spending that much money to your parents) and splashed out on everything that I wanted. Now I fear I may have bitten off more than I can chew! So I decided to start this post as hopefully a way to motivate me to keep painting and building my bad boys... So what did I get? - Space Marine Battleforce - Chaplain Cassius - Captain Sicarius (slight ordering mishap) - Command Squad - Assault Squad - Vindicator - Paint Set (5 more marines) In almost all its glory (sans Captain and Chaplain): http://i.imgur.com/jcftCh.jpg So everything arrived today and I have spent the last 6 hours assembling and painting the paint set marines. After lots of inspiration from some of the masterpieces on this forum and the tutorials too I got to it. For my first marines, I am actually quite pleased with how they turned out... http://i.imgur.com/5s2Oih.jpg http://i.imgur.com/bsDOwh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/YpYB9h.jpg http://i.imgur.com/dlVW3h.jpg http://i.imgur.com/H8sZBh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/jjvMkh.jpg Not sure what to paint next... I have built up most of the Vindicator, but am far too hesitant to screw it up... I guess maybe some more of the marines I have or assault squads... Either way, any criticisms, etc. would be appreciated!
