So this is what I have done so far. Lots of BP&CC cause, you know, Templars. All of the BP/CC guys are converted Khorne Berserkers. The rest are standard Marines. Used Army Painter black primer, since it's the bast color of my army as well. So far they're just black blobs, but I'm gonna st art painting soon. I'm going to make them look like the Black Templar armor scheme from the Space Marine multiplayer. One shoulder with a logo, one blank white, white face plate. Gonna try a few different paint techniques and see what I like, I'm very much throwing : at the wall to see what sticks.

Just about every named character in my Crusade comes from 80's metal my champion is named Lee Vinzler which I twisted out of Motley Crue's drummer (Tommy Lee) and Lead singer, combind with Tron (Vince Neil, and Rinzler) , lol, I rolled off to see if my Marshall would be named after Eddie Van Halen, Ywingie Malmsteen or Michael Schenker. I had to resist the urge to paint my army red, black and white. I May do my vehicles that way. I needed some naming convention, and hair metal, a favorite genre, seemed as good as any. Their crusade badge is the Diver Down album cover, and thier ship is also called the Diver Down.

"Ah, might as well just charge! Charge!" - Marshal Edward of the Van Halen Crusade

^_^

Go ahead, charge, Charge!

Go ahead, charge,

Please include some helmetless marines WITH hair metal styles, that would be awesome!

That, sir, will have to wait until I am a better sculptor!

Some slightly modified Space Wolves heads would do the job.

So here are my first completed models. I don't know why the paint on the leather gloves and the metallics looks thin in the photos, must be the Badab Black and the light, because it doesn't look that way in real life.

The Completed EC, dry brushed some blood on the edge of the sword:

By Request, converted Zerkers. I didn't bother with backpacks, I subbed in Space Marine packs and shoulders as well. Everything else I scraped the Chaos off of and reclaimed in the name of the Emperor.

If anyone has any ideas for the cloth bits, or anything else I'm all ears. These are my first minis. I'm very much playing with things and seeing what I like.
