So here it is and where I'm up to. To put it simply, I've been slack with getting my minis completed. Life getting in the way. Here's where I'm up to to date.

First packs Rhino.

First pack progress. Having second thoughts on having the power fist in the pack though.

Long Fangs are built with 3x ML and 2x PC.

Got a second pack of GH with a Rhino to do. A Rune Priest based on the Emperors Champion. And a Wolf Priest using the jump pack Chaplain as a base. If I'm lucky I may get them done by sixth ed

Grey settled on for the Bjorn part is this:

Halfords Grey primer spray

Base: Valljeo medium sea grey

Recess shade/ line: Valljeo black grey

First highlight:
GW
Astronomican grey

Final highlight: Valljeo sky grey

Priests will be in the standard GW SW style with Wolf that Stalks marking. Just for a little variety.

looking great! I love the mix of the subtle old OOP models. Nicely done ;)

Thanks Mav. Great coming from you. More of those to come including the PF BC WG. Had those for years and its nice to be able to mix them in for even more variety.

These look good :)

It looks like you undercoated with grey spray?

I love the metal minis in the mix. They have cool bits that even the current kit doesn't have. More variety really suits the Wolves.

Bit cheeky using the Champion for a Witch though, eh? ;)

;)

Very cheeky but I've always loved the pose and different style of armour. Was originally bought to convert to Slannesh.

Your spot on about the base coat. Well...almost. the primers Halfords grey and the base coat is a thinned Valljeo Medium Sea Grey. Still due the light grey edging. That you can see on the Rhino. Not decided on the pack marking yet which is why that's not been added and I'm thinking of using Charandon Granite for sponge chipping.

What is the size difference between those 2nd ed. metal minis and the current SW plastics, if any?

Same size, just the details aren't nearly as crisp. The wolf tails on some are of a different sculpting style from today's standards...and the helmet grills look janked up.

The old metals and new plastics work together very well. Using some of the extra weapons from the new wolf pack sprues can really make the old metals ones pop, as seen above. Especially since our GH's come standard equipped with BP BG and CCW.

I really like you color choice. Very crisp and sharp looking.

Good stuff

Thank you.

The older mark armour does have thinner joints at the shoulders which stick out too as you can see above. Wish I'd filed them down a bit but too late now. You do get sharper lines with the plastics its true and the fur areas on the metals have a much finer sculpt to them so you have to limit your paint layers. I managed to put a few chaos bits in too. Just made sure to remove the arrows. Will be trying to limit head repetition as much as I can too.

Big thank you and ales all round for your comments. I'll make sure to keep updates coming as things progress to. Though it may be a very slow one
