real cloth banners

Recommended Posts

okay so i just do not like plastic and I can't paint them for :cuss and another option is green stuff but i suck with that too, also I cannot paint lettering TO SAVE MY LIFE. Then I thought 'why not use real cloth?' so here is what I have rustled up.

If you can't read what is wrote on it, it says "we are judged in life by the evil we destroy'

hope y'all like it :)

White cotton shirt , which I cut a piece off and died using tea. to get darker or lighter colors leave it in longer and/or add more teabags. The same effect can be acheived with coffee, though if you do use coffee make the cloth darker than you want and wash it afterwards and it will get rid of the smell and lighten the color.

Hope this helps :cuss

Pretty cool, although the cross should be defined a bit more to stand out. What kind of marker did you use?

This was the first attempt I still have plenty of cloth left, I am working on stencil to possibly paint over? And I used an ordinary fineliner :tu:

So here is the model with the banner on... I hope you guys like it! (ignore my bad painting skills)

If I do I might still just paint on it, or use my inks. Maybe a finer cloth, , hee, I have some old school shirts I could shred, i'd like to see some more anners in my army, big hooge grand ones.

It was an old school shirt! Hehe... And I am working on my freehand skills before I paint on one...
