ScottishSmurf96
okay so i just do not like plastic and I can't paint them for :cuss and another option is green stuff but i suck with that too, also I cannot paint lettering TO SAVE MY LIFE. Then I thought 'why not use real cloth?' so here is what I have rustled up. http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u424/ScottishSmurf96/PICT1132.jpg If you can't read what is wrote on it, it says "we are judged in life by the evil we destroy' hope y'all like it :) Tom Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249238-real-cloth-banners/ Share on other sites
civsmitty
If you could give me dimensions and cloth type for that I would be so happy with you. I've been wanting to be-tabard my whole army for awhile, but my GS skills are about as effective as trying to cut down a pine tree with a spork. ScottishSmurf96
White cotton shirt , which I cut a piece off and died using tea. to get darker or lighter colors leave it in longer and/or add more teabags. The same effect can be acheived with coffee, though if you do use coffee make the cloth darker than you want and wash it afterwards and it will get rid of the smell and lighten the color. Hope this helps :cuss Tom Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249238-real-cloth-banners/#findComment-3018546 Share on other sites
BassWave
Pretty cool, although the cross should be defined a bit more to stand out. What kind of marker did you use? This was the first attempt I still have plenty of cloth left, I am working on stencil to possibly paint over? And I used an ordinary fineliner :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249238-real-cloth-banners/#findComment-3018567 Share on other sites

ScottishSmurf96
Excluding the die time it did not take very long at all! Allthough using a needle and thread to hand the banner was fiddly. I have loads of spare left... I may make a tabard for my dreads :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249238-real-cloth-banners/#findComment-3018873 Share on other sites

philsminions
I've seen a guy on eBay that prints out banners of all sizes for whichever chapter you want. A bit expensive though. Check them out...may give you some ideas for your own!
