DW Terminator shoulderpads

So, I'm building a Deathwatch counts-as GK army that is very heavily converted. Long story short, it's got 7 terminators, and I'm torn as to what I want to do with their shoulderpads. I know the DW shoulderpad is supposed to be the =I= with the skull over all the scriptwork, but I've never seen one on a terminator.

I was considering using these and sanding down the gothic crosses, then using GS to add the =I= to them. Do you think these are too ornate, should I stick with something simpler and more to the PA DW pads?

[edit] Here's the standard Term DW pad for comparison. http://www.bitsandkits.co.uk/images/845932714850.jpg

The Deathwatch is Old in traditions and uniforms are standardized. That said, it's your army and you can do what you like. If you play with any Rule Nazi's they may give you grief over use of non-standard items, especially since the actual ones are available from GW. I'm more a modeller than a gamer and say knock yourself out.

Been away from this Forum and many things for a while now. The Dark Angels have a slightly different Shoulder Pauldron for its members that serve in the DeathWatch. I suppose that sets precident that variations could exist from the basic/standard DeathWatch Insignias. Once again, it should only matter to you but temper your decisions with the people you play with/against. You know them better than anyone here might and gauge your choice by how strict they are with rules and use of non-standard applications/accessories.

I personally prefer the Phobos Pattern Bolters over the DeathWatch pattern bits to differentiate my DW Marines. I add the Optic/Scope myself from my bits box to complete the bolter. NOT standard, but again, I am a modeller and rarely ever play anymore.
