mughi3
Now that i have recovered from a long day of gaming...... One of my fellow gamers and i decided to change up the game a bit this weekend and do a small 1 on 1 3,500 point apocalypse match here was the table. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/AA31812.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/Ab31812.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/Ac31812.jpg We used 2 tables given the fact we had fliers though we hardly used the blasted approach to the city. Here were the forces- the tau defenders with all the pretty new FW models my buddy just got recently- tetras, hazard suits, broadsides, commander ra'ala, a skyray, 2 baracudas and yes even a tigershark..... http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/Ad31812.jpg The attacker-my salanders successors-panzer brigade employing a steel rain tactical drop- X2thunderhawk gunships(aernautica scale sincei do not have the money my buddy has :P) a small squad of vanguard vets, 3 ironclads in lucius pattern drop pods brey'arth ashmantle(venerable dread character) and techmarines with servitors riding shotgun ion the T-hawks Yes my force was small.....but we are marines, we are the emperors will made manifest http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/Ae31812.jpg Turn 1 my opponant won the roll off and made me go first....not what i wanted but at least he put some stuff on the table. (i suggeted shield generators for his broadsides given i had turbo lasers on my T-hawks -D weapions tend to leave a mark, so he could not take the stabalizers) I brought in half my force of 2 dreads and the vanguard squad, the vanguards took down a broadside, one dread nailed a tetra while the other stunned and immobilised the slyray. On his turn he brought in a baracuda, a hazard team and his commander, then he shot the hell out of the vanguards with only 1 making it into CC the next turn where he stayed for most of the game......finally dying to a lucky backhand from the broadside he was fighting(he made every invul save i made him make from my PF) one dread stayed locked in CC when he multi-assaulted the tetra and braodside next to it. Turn 2+ i brought in my reserves my T-hawks dropped a baracudda and shot down ra'ala whikle doing some damage to tetras and broadsides. He showed up with the rest of his force, his second baracuda did a single structure point on one thunderhawk while the tigershark obliterated the second. the ground war was gong slowly as most of my dreads were in CC. i did manage over the course of the next couple turns drop all 4 of his hazard suits and a couple broadsides but it left my dreads out in the open on his turn and they were subsequently destroyed or immobilised. The air war was where it was happening. the baracudas were a bit annoying but that tigershark had to be taken out. I managed to score 3 glancing hits that did little, but i also nailed it with 3 penetrating hits one of which was catastrophic, i managed to take out both the tigersharks structure points in a single hit. His second baracuda came back after me but failed to hurt my AV12 with little more than a gun crew stunned. i proceeded to shoot it out of the air on the following turn. we ended up going a full 7 turns in about an hour or so with me ending the game by hunting down all of his remaining broadsides. all he had left in the end were 3 tetras and an immobile skyray with no seekers. none of which could actually hurt the T-hawk Fortunately the T-hawk he shot down was the one not carrying Brey'arth so i came out with an overwhelming victory ++no respite, no remorse, for the emperor!++ http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/Af31812.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/Ag31812.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/Ah31812.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/Ai31812.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/Aj31812.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/Ak31812.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/Al31812.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/Am31812.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249292-big-toys/ Share on other sites
Polythemus
Hey man, Cool report cool pics. My only criticism is that the story becomes better when the two flow with each other. To accomplish this try writing your batrep in word or something similar and then copy paste and insert your pics, matchinng relevant text with your corresponding pictures. you won't get all of the action in, esp at 3500 pts, but it may help your story be even more compelling. Awesome work i hope to see more. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249292-big-toys/#findComment-3023526 Share on other sites
