ademiri
Finally started my blood angels this morning after a bunch of test painting. I need to find a reliable source for melta guns for assault marines. I need 6 at the moment. Thanks for any help you can provide <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249427-assault-marine-weapon-upgrades/ Share on other sites
TheDevourer
Gamesworkshop sells sets of 5 melters via online store if that helps <_< Otherwise checking out bits shops online may be an option although they rarely have melters in stock. ademiri
I seen those. to convert would i just cut the hand/weapon off of a current arm in the box? TheDevourer
Yes you would just cut the hand off of a model. That way you would get very dynamic one handed poses. If you have surplus tactical arms you could use those for 2 handed poses. ademiri
sweet thanks <_< Since they are metal would weighting down the base be a good idea? Got my first box of space marines last week so no extra parts yet lol Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249427-assault-marine-weapon-upgrades/#findComment-3021132 Share on other sites
TheDevourer
Glue a coin or 2 underneath the base and you shouldn't have any problems <_< Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249427-assault-marine-weapon-upgrades/#findComment-3021133 Share on other sites
glayvin34
I've got a ton of the metal meltas from GW and they're fine, but are heavy and need weighting. Also, it's better to cut the hand off the gun and glue/pin it to the hand that's attached to the arm. Otherwise you can have a hand that doesn't match the other one. And many of the assault arms (like the 90 degree bent elbow pistol arms) don't fit those melta guns so well because of the brace thing at the back of the gun. So I've been cutting that off too and it doesn't look too bad.
