sockwithaticket
Origins Unknown. Their imagery has led to suggestions that they are a successor chapter of either the Blood angels or the Dark Angels, though it appears that this is purely coincidental. Their chapter symbol of a crimson tear does bear similarity to the blood drops prevalent in Blood Angels iconography and their preference for close quarter fighting strengthens the impression of links, though it confirms nothing. Indeed, the chapter have shown themselves to be incredibly disciplined in combat, brutal certainly, but not prone to the outright blood lust the Sons of Sanguinius are afflicted by. Unlike the Blood Angels and their successors allegations of cannibalism do not follow them around. Their heavy use of angel and sword imagery has resulted in the school of thought that the chapter descends from the dark Angels, but these seem to express the Crimson Tear Edited May 23, 2012 by sockwithaticket Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249815-ia-crimson-tears/ Share on other sites
Andrew J
I like how you are giving them this air of mystery but it seems almost too much. You can basically boil that whole thing down to "black and white marines where not much is known and anything that is is contradictory. Known preference for close combat, this is not contradictory." Sorry if that seems harsh but there does not seem to be a lot of character about them as they are too mysterious to have any. I would recommend coming up with some solid fluff about them, stuff that should be known by the Imperium in general and then leave some things to the imagination. I dont know if that helps or not. Do like your WIP page and your painting has certainly gotten better over time as well as you have chosen a very tough scheme, that is to be commended brother.
