Marius Corsican
Since I did such a great job updating my SM WIP (sarcasm), I thought I should try another post for my Grey Knights. I'm really going to try to post more than once a year on this as I am trying to finish 1500 pts by April 8th for a gaming weekend blow out with some friends (the wife's out of town for the weekend). I'm running Crowe with two squads of Purifiers (fully kitted out and in Rhinos), a five man GKSS, two Psyrifle dreads, and a Xenos Inq with a couple of DCA, Enforcers and two WAs with flamers in a rhino. It ends up being 36 models (infantry), 3 Rhinos and two dreads. Currently, everything is assembled, so at the very least I can play, but I'd really like to have it completed to at least a decent table top standard before the 8th. Here's what I got so far. Inq Squad Rhino (just detail work left) http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy37/dpallante/GK_WIP/InqRhino.jpg Purifier Rhino Doors (a friend gave me two rhinos, but some of the pieces were missing, so I wanted to get started on it) http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy37/dpallante/GK_WIP/PurRhinoDoorsWIP.jpg Crowe and the Dreads (lots of work left here) http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy37/dpallante/GK_WIP/DreadsWIP01.jpg Updated Crowe (just more lining, highlighting and detail work to go - sword and storm bolter are almost finished but no pic at the moment) http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy37/dpallante/GK_WIP/CroweWIP.jpg The 5 man GKSS and a couple of close ups http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy37/dpallante/GK_WIP/GKSS04WIP.jpg http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy37/dpallante/GK_WIP/GKSS02WIP.jpg http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy37/dpallante/GK_WIP/GKSS03WIP.jpg http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy37/dpallante/GK_WIP/GKSS01WIP.jpg Purifier Squad 1 http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy37/dpallante/GK_WIP/PurifiersWIP02.jpg better shot of their shoulder pads (heraldry) http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy37/dpallante/GK_WIP/PurifiersWIP01.jpg close up of test model for the squad http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy37/dpallante/GK_WIP/PurifiersWIP03.jpg I also have the Inq & Squad with mostly completed. I used to have a Witchhunters army I really enjoyed playing - lots of fluff and good campaign memories - but it was all Inquisitor and Inducted Guard. I went out and got Cotaez, but what I have already built and painted doesn't quite fit into the new codex. Instead of tearing it all apart to make it fit, I felt like adding GKs and I got a little carried away so now there's only the one carry over squad from my old army. I'll try to remember to take some pictures of that squad next time I post. As a side note, I got an airbrush for Christmas and I cannot say enough good things about it. If you're on the fence about picking one up, go buy it now! It did take me a little while to get the hang of it, but it speeds up priming, base coating, tanks/vehicles, nemesis/force weapons, etc. If you have the patience to sit and paint little army men, you can learn to use an airbrush. The rhino hatches were done with an airbrush and some blue painter's tape. I'll probably make a few more templates from the tape for symbols and the like to speed up some of the heraldry on the shoulder pads. C&C welcome! subtlebrush
Very nice work there! That white is fantastic. I too have been working with an airbrush and can't say anything bad about it. Keep at it and you'll master it in no time. I'll be keeping on eye on this one. +++Mr.M+++ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249821-grey-knights-wip/#findComment-3027069 Share on other sites

Marius Corsican
I had some time earlier to finish up some stuff. Sure, I will probably go back and add a few more details, names on the name plates, writings on the purity seals and books, but they are for the most part, ready for the table. Sorry about the image quality - my OTT light does weird things to my iphone camera and I didn't have enough time to download the files from my good camera before I went to work. Not sure which I'm going to use in the list yet. Hopefully, I'll have more tomorrow. C&C welcome.
