Grey Knight weapon for justicar.

I today bought the first squad for my new GK army but only when i got home i discovered it does not have enough Halberds to arm 3 Knights and a Justicar. So i decided i will arm 3 Knights with Halberds and give the Justicar a Sword or a Daemonhammer instead. But i cannot decide wich one is better. The 4+ save(i think thats only for close combat) or extra damage to vehicles from the Daemonhammer.

Any advice would be appriciated.

If you are having a hard time deciding, perhaps go for both?

With my terminators, the standard 3 halberds, 1 sword, one MC hammer. I run that all the time since the hammers are free and you cant argue with a 5 pt MC on the justicar.

With PA I find its a bit tougher to decide, since the hammers will cost you 10pts. In a 10 man squad, you'll want 1 or 2. and perhaps depending if you run 5 man or 6 man squads, whether you've combat squaded or not, do you spend the 10 points on a 5 man squad?

I struggled with that question for a while, and then decided it would just be easier for me to magnetize both the sword and the hammer at both hands and both wrists. There is very little room for error, and I forget the exact size you'll need. I do believe its 1/16th diameter magnets that will fit.

Its also a bit difficult to get both arms into the exact position so both weapons will fit nicely after the glue sets, also, if you have very fast setting glue, you might not have any time to adjust the arms if you do not position them right. I recommend using some plastic cement as it will give you about 10 minutes of malleability to adjust the arms so when you clip in the hammer or sword, both magnet pairs will fit perfectly.

With terminators, since the sword and the hammer are one handed weapons, magnetizing is significantly easier, but I haven't bothered since I don't want to be worried about getting tar pitted, and a str10 hammer after hammerhand is just too delicious.

Depends on what unit, basically you can follow this rule for arming your Justicars. If its a an interceptor or Strike Squad justicar give it a daemon hammer to make use of the extra attack. If it is a terminator, paladin, or purifier do not put anything extra on the justicar because that's the first to go when you perils.
