Arnil
So my fiancé was painting her nails today and i noticed that her nail polish was all cracked. It looked like rusted old paint from like a car or wall... it was this special kind of nail polish called crackle and she base coats her nails then applies this for a cool effect... my question is this. Is there a model paint that does this or a technique for doing this on models? I think on a tank it would look amazing... Nurgle or Necron comes to mind immediately.... She also has magnetic nail polish...any clue where to get paint like that? OR is Nail polish safe to use on figs? I typically see it chip off so maybe 'ard Coat it? Brother Nihm
Hairspray, salt, you name it. There are plenty of tutorials to be found out there. Look for hairspray weathering or hairspray technique on YouTube. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249908-crackle/#findComment-3028481 Share on other sites

Durus
Tutorial - Working with Crackle Medium on Massive Voodoo Btw, I think the original Projectlog of the FW marine above was posted on CMON. After that there were some other guys that used crackle medium as well. Might find something interesting if you snoop around in their forums as well.
