maverik_girl
... I've been wanting a flyer transport for decades, and finally could actually use one, in friendly games that allow Forgeworld rules. ... Valerian Its 40k approved no? So you only need to inform them (maybe in advance for fairness), you do not need their OK. yes it's 40K approve, however the rules are still experimental, so you still need their OK. Believe it or not allot of players out there don't like to play against experimental rules, official, FW or not. Long Fang
"Approved" or not I always ask my opponent and fork over the rules before we start, never had anyone say no but its non-standard so always give them the option and have something with me I can swap it out for. The rules are not published in your Codex by GW. Unofficially - in your own basement, it's your house and your house rules. In the local gaming store, it's by consent of you and your opponent or the approval of the store gaming manager. In torunament's is up to the TO. Schertenleib
I think it'll be the newest member of my Wolf Air Wing. Maybe the Drakkenwing? Of course, I'd feel obliged to get a second Stormraven to give it two wingmen. I agree for my Draigowing using Exterminator Strike Force and proxy the eagle for a command flyer; removing the top wing tho imo, Is this an Apoc formation? Dewi Sant
Storm eagle with TL multimelta and TL Lascannons Ragnar Arjak Wolf priest Lukus the trickster 15 blood claws with Power fist, 2x flamer and MoW. Now that is what you call a deathstar unit!!!! Double post :whistling: Double the work... Needs double the ale brother :D That unit of yours is gonna attract every gun on the table, maybe drop a blood claw for a Rune priest who can give you some cover saves. oops, just released I have miss calculated the unit size. You upgrade a standard blood claw for Lukas so thats an extra space for the Rune Priest. How about this for a unit for a bargain total of 1369 points!!! Storm Eagle: TLMM, 2x TLLC, search light, extra armour. Ragnar Blackmain Wolf Priest: Plasma Pistol, WTN. Rune Priest: Chooser, LL, SC. Arjak Rockfist 15 Blood Claws: Lukas, Power fist, 2xFlamer, Plasma Pistol. Not sure much would survive an assault from that! I would have loved an option for 2 twin linked Kheres pattern Assault Cannons be be fitted. 12 Rending Str 6 Shots with re-rolls to hit just screams Space Wolves. Emperor's Scourge
Why would you want Lukas in there? He'd drop the entire unit's leadership to 8. Plus, there's a chance that he'll die and take all of those points you've invested with him. Also, why Plasma Pistols if you're trying to get your unit into assault? Seems like a weird way to spend 30 some odd points. Russ Brother 92
Also, why Plasma Pistols if you're trying to get your unit into assault? Seems like a weird way to spend 30 some odd points. the added factor of another AP2 shot, and still being able to charge. Seems like a weird way to spend 30 some odd points. If you're spending that amount of points in a game on one unit, then why not take Lukas?? Yeah, he might take a blood claw or two with him but so what? You all ways actively seek out IC with Lukas while keeping your IC away from him and against the squad. The whole Ld thing doesn't matter either, you have a wolf priest granting Fearless. As for the plasma pistols they are fantastic and completely underrated. Taking a few wounds off Mephiston or a squad Death Guard Terminators before the charge can mean the difference between success and failure.
