reckoning
This model is in response to Eberious and his "Would you like to join my crusade?" Thread. Some pretty awesome conversions in there and I was lucky enough to be one of them. So I made a character for him in my Army as a thank you. I seem to remember you doing a pose similar to this only with an apothecary. IIRC, that model was observing the helmet of a fallen brother. This model is actually looking at his own helmet, and taking stock of just how much damage it took to protect him. Pretty happy with how this conversion turned out. I was going for the look of a huge battle, hence all the visible damage. Its also the first time Ive tried a pose like this and one of the heaviest conversions Ive done. Not much work compared to several of the models on this forum, but it was quite a bit of work for a novice like me. Don't know when he'll be painted however. Hope you like him. Marshal bobo
love it love it LOVE IT!!!! however i have one gripe, nothing major. did you use a righted sword on the left side? it looks it as his little finger is longer and he has no thumb. other than that very good Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249968-new-addition-to-my-army/#findComment-3029443 Share on other sites

Eberious
Very nice, love it!. Looks like he's almost saying 'DAMN!, I need a new helmet', there certainly is plenty of battle damage. Thanks very much, also appericate the extra conversion work undertaken. Look foward to seeing him painted when you get around to it. Roesor
Tch, Borther, the model is superb, but Erberious is supposed to be a Techmarine, in fact, every Senior Techmarine/Master of the Forge we have =D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249968-new-addition-to-my-army/#findComment-3030031 Share on other sites

reckoning
Thank you everyone for the compliments. He was a lot of fun to model. @Marshal bobo - It is a right handed arm. Unfortunately I seem to have run out of green stuff at the moment, but I do plan on adding thumbs to both hands. Cant have a mutant in our ranks now can we? @Eberious - Glad you like him. Thats pretty much the look I was going for, with a bit of reverence added for good measure. Don't know when Ill get around to painting him though :) @Roesor - Yeah, I knew that was the general consensus around here but I dont currently possess a Techmarine nor do I plan on spending money for one while so many unpainted models adorn my shelf. I plan on running him as a SB. Again, thanks for all the positive feedback. I originally felt the battle damage was a bit much. However, the more I look at it, the more it grows on me. Im really happy I found a fitting model for the kneeling robe I acquired. philsminions
Very cool mod! Hope to see him on the table one of these days if we can ever get a game in. Maybe hit a doubles tourney at the DL in Austin? Not to worry...I have a recently acquired Techmarine with full servo harness. His name shall be, Eberious Master of the Templar Forge! ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/249968-new-addition-to-my-army/#findComment-3030397 Share on other sites

Honda
I will have to agree with everyone, an excellent model, with a lot of character. Where did the robed kneeling legs come from? Cheers, Thank you. I picked up the robed kneeling legs as part of a five piece set from this website Cant recommend this bitz site enough. Excellent service every time Ive used them. Side not on the robed legs. Theyre a bit larger than normal SM legs. A bit of filing and they fit just fine.
