What do you think folks? I'm quite please with the result.

looks like he's basically chopped two chainswords into one, I think? I like it, its a good representation of Ragnar, although I do also agree that the chapter badge and some extra bling would finish this off nicely. I NEVER liked the GW mini, such a stupid pose! this nixes that mini nicely!

Well to be fair the the GW mini, it is from Rogue Trader days!

I do like this representation of Ragnar, with a few tweaks it could be really great.

One thing to consider is the skulls on the forward facing part of the backpack, they're still in your basecoat colour. Though I do appreciate painting them around that hair might be a challenge!

Thanks for the positive feedback guys.

OK so here is my explanation of the conversion.

For the most part it's just selecting the right parts from the grey hunter box set. the "big-ass"chainsword is just 2 of the same chainswords cut and shut in approximately the right place to create the appearance of a frostblade. The bolt pistol was chosen for the diamond shaped gem on the side.

I'm working on a press mould of the original wolf head shoulder plate but not having much success at the moment. I've painted the shoulderpad so that the model looks complete even without it.

I'm also considering some GS chains going across the chest, similar to the original.

WingsOfTheFalcon - Thanks for pointing out the skulls on the back pack, I hadn't noticed they hadn't been painted
