I suppose it could double for a plague hulk, but it's being loaded out as a stock defiler, without claws. Not sure if I'll add an AC or Heavy Flamer yet, or just utilize the extra attacks.

[edit]would help if I added the photo...

I'd hold off on finalizing the defiler conversion until the new book's out. Based on current armament, I'd go for reaper autocannon at least, since you can snap fire it while shooting the battle cannon at the same time. The extra CCWeps aren't quite as attractive now that grenades pose a more serious threat in close combat.

But any or all of that could change with the new codex, so... yeah.

Good advice. I'll probably finalize it, but magnetize areas to add in a Reaper AC and Flamer, as well as an area on the back to put on some demolisher shells to indicate ordnance for wysiwyg. Without all that stuff, it's wysiwyg as a Plague Hulk, and I know the equipment for that isn't going to change anytime soon.

Given the fluff for a plague hulk states "Plague Hulks are often encountered wielding gigantic cleaver blades or huge rusted flails", I think I may give him a big, rusted flail. Probably my favorite medieval weapon.

It is an ultraforge greater plague demon, I believe.

Yes indeedy. It's a crappy recast that I did myself (no vac chamber or pressure pot) so I take no shame in cutting up the legs and converting it to the point it's unrecognizable. I stuck the defiler chassis (minus the legs) directly into the liquid resin while it was in the mold, so this Daemon is literally fused to the engine.

I'm thinking about giving it a fly head and replace the CCW with a rusty flail.

Here is my Terminator Sorceror/Lord. I planned the model to have a zombie in it well before the rumour of zombies in the new codex (as they're in the Siege of Vraks campaigns and in Apoc), and zombies fit the fluff of the Apostles of Contagion, but now that they're sure to be in the new 'dex... WOOT!

He's about 95% done being converted, with only a bolter/combi-weapon to be added in somewhere... possibly a melta pistol in a holster on his left hip. I dunno. He needs some basing material as well, but here he is.

It's an old-school terminator head. I got finished with a combi-melta scratchbuild to holster on his left hip, magnetized. I'll post a pic here in a bit. All that's left is his right shoulder pad, which I'm still not sure what to do with... Any ideas would help. I like brainstorming.

Chapter symbol is a red fly, which is already on his other shoulder. I've thought about heads/skulls, but I'd like something to go underneath them... I've thought about censers, but they're already on his back, so I didn't want the redundancy. A nurgling sitting there isn't a bad idea, but again, I'd like something to actually be on the shoulder guard itself, under the nurgling or trophy skulls. Maybe I'll just do a standard Nurgle symbol, the three circles, or something...

Anyhoo, here's the scratchbuilt (sort of) multi-melta bolt-pistol I made today. I tried to emulate some of the older style, wood inlay bolters from back in the day. Wish they would make bits of those... I'd have them on all my PMs.

Still not quite sure what to do about the shoulder guard, though the woman thought it might be a good idea to have a large maggot coming out of there... which might not be a bad idea (and could count as a familiar if I so desire). I'm thinking a mix of that and the armor being split apart due to his bloating of this appendage:

Wish my macro worked better... this is as close as I can get without it being so blurry you can't make anything out. There's a pox-mark of nurgle on the outside of his arm, with the existing power-tubing attached directly behind it (modeled to incorporate the existing Typhus model arm), and the skin has ripped apart to show the muscle tissue underneath. I haven't added the fingernails in yet, but made indentions for the nail-bed, to make it easier to add them later. Was fun to sculpt.

Here's a crop, hopefully you can pick out some of the detail from the muscle here. It'll come out nicely with some paint, I think. This and my terminators are my vow for the Dark Angels challenge, so paint will be thrown on here pretty quickly.

Here they are, more or less done. I'm going to go back and highlight some areas, to get rid of just a bit of the corrosion, touch up some areas, and put a couple more layers on the base (which I'm not happy with so far). I'm closing in on 1500 points painted, though!

I think your models are bit too messy. Being Nurgle isn't an excuse to paint sloppily. Look at the whole French Nurgle school. They do a lot of really sophisticated techniques on their 'repulsive' models. Painting sloppily and not thinning your paint enough obscures all the lovely disgusting detail on the Forgeworld Deathguard bits. I've never done the any of the terminators, but I painted some of regular dudes. Let me find the 'French' one.

I'm still not happy with the face, getting a sickly orange is tough. I've tried many ways to duplicate a tone I achieved years ago on a single Plaguebearer. One thing I have done is collect a lot of Nurgle applicable painting advice, you can find links to my website below. Good luck on the path of the diseased and decayed.

Really not a big fan of yours, a bit too cartoony and clean for my tastes. Also, I couldn't find anything relevant to what I was doing in posts, outside of rust formulae, so I had to make it up as I went along.

As you can see from my previous post, I'm not done with them, so I don't think your 'messy' and 'sloppy' comments are really valid just yet.

Call of Chaos V update: http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac197/gfan360/DSCN0556.jpg

Everything metal is pinned (which took the majority of the day), along with some minor conversion work (with more to come). Managed to not cut myself at all today! Going to convert the Heavy Bolters into Autocannons for spammy goodness. Two squads worth, so 8 total autocannon Havocs... I need to figure out what I'm going to do for the champs. I may just pull them from other squads.

Glory to the Plague father, lovely plague marine havocs you have there for the Call of Chaos V, and i think its guitar strings he used for some of the tubing. Really pays of to play the guitar and using worn out strings for 40k goodies ;)

Got a buddy that plays bass and guitar, so I got quite a few strings off him. There's some random wire in there as well.

Thanks for the info! I have a friend who plays base so I might bug him when/if i start my plague marine army haha.
