breng77
normal PA is usually acceptable. as AA is usually only available on special units, so easy to distinguish. THat said the only models with special AA are Sanguinary Guard. puck
I posted on this a while back and didn't get much of a response. The general consensus seems to be that you don't have to model artificer armor for wysiwyg. But to give you some ideas: Try the chapter champion model in the command squad box. He got a pretty ornate torso. Tech marine models start out with artificer armor and if you look at the actual miniature the legs have layered armor plates on them. If you could combine these two elements your captain's armor would look pretty artificer to me. Grotsmasha
Bling shoulderpads and golden details never hurt either. But my suggestion would be some of the FW Red Scorpion Honour Guard torso's, they're fairly available on eBay. Dorns Padawan
You can make articifer armour out of many different parts. I favour the Red Scopions honour guard for Sevrin Loth. They have some great chest pieces to be used, equally, the Blood Angels Sanguinary Guard have some excellent armour pieces to be used. You could mix them up a bit & also throw some Grey Knight legs into the equation? If your Green Stuff skills are half decent you could always sculpt your own? Hope that is of some use to you mate Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/250281-artificer-armour/#findComment-3033789 Share on other sites
Gurth
Years ago, for my captain/chapter master I used the Grey Knight Inquisitor with Grimoire as he wears ornate armour that I could easily call artificer armour. All I did was replace the book with a sword from a plastic Warhammer Fantasy figure and add a Space Marine backpack: http://gurth.home.xs4all.nl/troep/ymia/commander-f.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/250281-artificer-armour/#findComment-3034098 Share on other sites
