ninja6fett
I just received a pair of Valthex's arms with his whips. My question is.... How do I make the whips all bendy? Do I use a hair dryer or hot water to heat them up and bend them in place and let them dry? I don't want to break them, any help would be great. Olis
Use hot water, brother, not a hairdryer. The hairdryer might warp the resin whereas the water will not. Get yourself a bowl of fairly hot water and soak the parts in it before trying to carefully bend them to the desired position. If you find they feel resistent to bending, don't push it. Get more hot water and keep trying. Just be VERY careful. :) Hope this helps. puck
I've seen some youtube tutorials with people using a hairdryer to heat the piece up a bit and then bend it to shape and quickly put it in cold water so it sets. EDIT: Use Olisredan's method. Not mine as I've not first hand experience Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/250552-valthex-power-whips/#findComment-3037496 Share on other sites
Bat33.1
I used the hot water technique to bend these. Hold them in some hot water with tweezers, then move slowly into shape and as mentioned if you feel like they are about to break - stop - warm them in the water again. You could keep some cold water in a cup or whatever to set them if you wanted to. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y87/paulj1965/GW%2040K/PC222920.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/250552-valthex-power-whips/#findComment-3038855 Share on other sites
