Iron hands conversions WIP

Hi all.

Continuing my power armour obsession I decided to crack on with a half-done project in order to have it ready for a tournment in June. I already had all the parts I needed for an Iron hands army they just needed some imaginationa and assembly to bring it all together. I'm now starting to paint the army, specifically focussing on the 1750 points I'm taking to the tournament.

HQ

There are 3 HQs to choose from in the army, a Master of the Forge and a counts as Calgar and Cassius. The latter two have been heavily converted to represent the weaponry in the profiles (aside from the servo arm on Cassius) but with an Iron hands spin.

Troops

The troops section of the army consists of three full tactical squads and two rhinos between them. I've tried to make all the troops as distinctive as possible using as many bionics as possible. Here's a model I'm particularly fond of.

Elites

Elites comprise a squad of mixed assault terminators, a techmarine on bike and a venerable dreadnought, though I don't have any good shots of them at the moment. The terminators do however have a land raider transport which I converted to have exposed tracks on the top.

Fast attack

Fast attack simply consists of a squad of bikes to accompany the techmarine. The highlight of the squad is my attack 'quad' which is heavily converted.

Heavy support

The heavy slot consists of 3 tanks: a predator, a whirlwind and a vindicator. All three are modern rhino chassis with second edition weaponry to make them a bit more distinctive and archeotech.

Some really cool conversions there mate, especially your count as Calgar. How did you do his gorget (I think its called?) might nick that idea! ;)

Cheers pal, looking forward to painting them up! The gorget was from the venerable dreadnought kit and needed a bit of greenstuff work around the sides to get it to fit properly. Worth it tho!
