Scrogneugneu
Hi guys, I wonder if Dante's DoA re-roll works if he is kept in reserve with a unit that doesn't use DoA. I wouldn't use DoA rules for deploying (Dante doesn't scatter anyways), but it sure could be useful on the reserve thing... Now that I think of it, I will have a look at the FAQ ! But does anybody knows how it is worked out ? Thanks ! knife&fork
Hi guys, I wonder if Dante's DoA re-roll works if he is kept in reserve with a unit that doesn't use DoA. But does anybody knows how it is worked out ? Thanks ! Only units with jump packs have the DoA special rule. Dantes 'tactical precision' rule only works with jump packs. The only thing a character normally confers to a unit is the ability to use his Ld for such stat checks. So the answer is no. Scrogneugneu
Ok, so if I keep Dante with an ASM squad with jump packs and an additional attached Priest with Jump Pack, I don't get the re-roll on reserve for the whole unit ? Ok. I can understand why, but I wish I could ! Res Ipsa Loquitur
The DoA re-roll is given to any BA unit wearing Jump Packs. The unit in your example above would get to re-roll. Scrogneugneu
AHAHAHA my bad, I had not read the ASM entry properly. They do have DoA themselves, so of course they have it ! Thanks guys ! Res Ipsa Loquitur
As knife&fork said, the DoA rule is given to any BA wearing a Jump Pack so even if it's not in the unit entry (like Death Company, for example) you can give them DoA by giving them a JP. dadieau
Ah, no, Decent of Angles has nothing to do with Dante. It is used by units with the rule arriving by Deep Strike and the only units with it are jump pack units. So any unit with in which all figs have jump packs may reroll to come in from reserve if arriving by Deep Strike. If Dante is with the unit then there is no scatter. DarthOvious
The jump pack entry in the codex clearly explains that ANY unit with a jump pack gets the DOA special rule. It's easy to miss I know and even I didn't see it until a couple of days after getting the codex.
