Directional source lighting

[Brother Evar]

I saw a while ago someone on B&C who did an assault squad with blue thruster jump pack directional lighting. I was wondering if anyone had pics I could see to get an idea of how to to this. I am thinking white in the middle with a litte purple inside the boost exhaust, then a light blueon the edges and part way down the legs, then a medium blue down near the bottom of the legs.

Lothern blue + white scar/daemonette hide (bright boost inner)

 

Lothern blue (mid boost, mid body/legs)

 

Telcis blue (low boost near bottom legs/feet)

 

Guilliman blue glaze.

 

I want to give it a shot with the new paints as my assault marines look flat at the moment as I don't highlight, just wash and limited blending. I will put up all 2K pts of my Gore Serpents DIY chapter when I get this assault squad done.
