Melekharn Posted April 21, 2012 Share Posted April 21, 2012 Critical? Sure thing. I'm not a fan of the obliterator that you've undercoated in black. They're meant to be a ranged unit, and that guy is covered in blades and a single purifier. I also feel you haven't given the other obliterators enough choice when it comes to weapons to fire. One guy has two flamers, another has a single lascannon sticking out of his abdomen - remember these guys carry more weapons choices than a tank! (Except maybe a Baneblade.) Having said that, the units have been put together well and while I'm not a fan of pink marines (Slaanesh or not) you've also done a good job with painting the ones you have. Some look like they could use a little shading, particularly on the metal areas IE the powerfist sergeant, but even you have said they're WIP. I read the codex and it said they are looking for technology and morph into what they want to be. I took this as they love technology and the will morph into something that they personally want to be. So i fugered im going to make some obliterators and give them a bit of personality. Blady - he loves knifes and stuff, so when he got offered a bunch of force weapons from Grey nights for his services, he was keen as a bean. He likes getting up close and personal in fights. He enjoys cutting his foe into small pieces and then burning them. Optimal for deep striking! Flame Freak - He loves deep sticking and getting right up and personal. Loves to burn things and he has a pet servo skull, no body knows why. He got offered a grey knight helmet, for vision in the dark, zoom and all those crazy things. Once a raptor decided to trade his jet pack to him for his services. So yea he enjoys moving fast and burning things with perfect aim. he also loves his servo skull. Daemon boy - He always wanted to be a daemon prince, the gods said no but they granted him a singel daemon prince vent. He is also crazzy and mostly possessed. He has a posssessed power fist and some ranged weapons which include, a grey knight heavy weapon, a plasma gun and a plasma pistol. He also stole a force sword. Chains - He does not need any other ranged weapon, he is perfectly happy with his lassacannon. Plasma cannons are weak. He has a daemon hammer because well, its a daemon hammer!. He has also made him self a chain sword claw, which retracts in and out, Perfect for grabbing his foe by the head and crushing them, then he uses his flamer to leave no evidence. unknown - he doesn't know what the hell is going on, he changes all the time, he currently has a possessed power fist, a plasma gun, 2 bolters, a bolt pistol on his back, some form of grey knight weapon and some form of mini lasscannon on his back. He just enjoys life and kills anything. They probe could do with some more ranged weapons, but to be honest i like them the way they are. I ussaly run. 3 - lassacanoon team, which includes Chains, unknown and a normal oblit. 3 - Plasma cannon team, which includes Daemon boy and 2 normal oblits. 2 - DEEP STRICK, which includes Blady and Flame Freak. Has for shading, for this army i want to use no washes. simply to improve my painting, also slaanesh are clean. Also practicing blending with this guys. I'll have to agree with Melek that your Oblit squad looks like an odd Havoc squad. wysiwyg. you should probably add a weapon or two to each of the Oblits.
