BT Land Raider Achilles

Had these photos laying around of a Conversion I did of a LRC into an Achilles thought the board might enjoy them, I'll post the finished product as soon as I can get it in front of a camera.

I realize that taking apart an LRC is sacrilegious, however it was a third level hand me down and was coated with paint thick enough that a good amount of the detail work was not visible, it needed lots of work.

Keep in mind this is not the finished tank. More to come.

Nice, I've been thinking about picking up an Achilles, they are pretty sweet.

If you want to strip that paint, give it a bath in Superclean for a few days and then use a toothbrush and it will come right off. Won't damage the plastic either.

My guess is twin-linked heavy bolters. They are not on the FW pictures of the Achiles and I don't know if they are supposed to have them and/or where they are supposed to go though..

Looking good! Nice recovery and it's colorful enough to stand out as such a rare pattern should.
