Saevus Secutor
Hi all! This is what I have completed for my Deathguard army, but there are still much to do.The Obliterators and Lesser Daemons are converted by a friend of mine. I´m planning to add 2 HQ, 2 Dreadnoughts, Blightdrones, Vindicators and some Defilers aswell. The pictures aint that great, the colours always turn out a bit awkward for me. Hope you like them, and C&C are welcome. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55/El_Richo/Deathguard036.jpg Plague Marines 2xMelta,PowerFist and Rhino. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55/El_Richo/Deathguard048.jpg Plague Marines 2xMelta,PowerFist and Rhino. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55/El_Richo/Deathguard052.jpg Plague Marines 2xPlasma,PowerFist and Rhino. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55/El_Richo/Deathguard054.jpg Plague Marines 2xPlasma,PowerFist and Rhino. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55/El_Richo/Deathguard069.jpg Lesser Daemons http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55/El_Richo/Deathguard072.jpg Lesser Daemons http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55/El_Richo/Deathguard057.jpg Obliterators http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y55/El_Richo/Deathguard065.jpg Obliterators ...and pray to Father Nurgle that the new Chaos Codex don´t suck! :)
arizonajirt
goods horrible ( in a very good way) papa nurgle would be very proud.
Ammonius
Those are great! The extra stuff on the rhinos looks good, and no doubt helps you pick out which rhino is which. I really like the lesser daemons, are those converted bloodletters? Keep up the good work, and absolutely send prayers to Nurgle that the next codex doesn't suck :)
Jay Taint
Hell, dude, your stuff is amazing! At first, I thought you must have had your pictures heavily edited in Photoshop, using one of these edge-finding algorithms. Then I looked twice. They actually are that edgy. I love it! You've achieved a very sharp and crisp, yet unclean look that makes a massive difference to all the Plague Marines that look like they've been painted with a toothbrush. I also second Ammonius, the barrels on the Rhinos look great. (One doesn't want to know that these guys got in them ...) Cheers, JT
Death Guard Trooper
Very impressive Saevus! Look forward to seeing more as you add to your Army. Im no expert at photo taking either, but maybe a little more light on em would bring out the color for you. Awesome job.
Muskie
Nice work.
Kierdale
Very nice, crisp painting! They look dirty without looking messy, and that's hard to do in a Nurgle army. Very impressive.
rottenlad
I love all of your work. Papa Nurgle is super proud as well I'm sure. Might have to try and use your smoke stack idea on an up coming predator project.
BrotherGyram
Simply amazing :) I especially like your lesser daemons! Good idea making them from Bloodletters!
tyrannosaurus
Unreal - looks like they stepped out of a cartoon [in a really really really good way] blown away by your minis
Circus Nurgling
Whoa! Those are some cool Plaguebearers/Lesser Daemons. I suspect you'll be getting some more use out of those with the coming codex update, if rumors hold true.
dizzy-xc
Wow those guys are crazy-awesome! Love em!
Son of Carnelian
I love these colors! Got a recipe for that green and yellow scheme? Please share! With all the Chaos rumors afoot and excellent Nurgle armies like this one, I've been searching for a good color scheme for the servants of the Lord of Decay, and this one is just great! AGPO
I love the plaguebearers, that's outstanding work! The rest of the army is pretty darn awesome as well, with some really nice kitbashes.
Dammeron
I don't usually like "clean" painting styles for Nurgle miniatures, but you've pulled it off brilliantly! Somehow the scheme looks crisp and elegant, yet simultaneously putrid and infectious. Very nice work.

Durus
Ha, very nice! The champion in the first squad is based on the artwork by Adrian Wood. Immediately recognized that face. Never realized the that looking at the FW stuff on their site. :) Great army!
Biohazard
These look fantastic, especially like the Plaguebearers :(
Saevus Secutor
Thx for all the nice comments guys! :D The way I painted them: Undercoat black, Gretchin Green foundation paint over the whole model (thin it out with a bit of water), Vallejo Dead Flesh leaving a bit of the Gretchin Green showing for shadows, Badab Black wash, Dead Flesh again and leaving enough to show the transition to the shadows (and I did thin out the paint with water to get It smooth). For the yellow I used Iyanden Darksun,Badab black wash and Iyanden Darksun to bring It back up again. The pustules, sores and open wounds I made with Tamiya clear red and a wash of Leviathan Purple. Then I applied Leviathan Purple to some shadow areas (the hint of purple gives the model a diseased look I think). I´ll hope to improve my skill with the camera to show you some better pictures. Next up Is my two FW Dreadnoughts. Hope to see you all soon! :D
Saevus Secutor
Hi! Isiah
Congratulations sir. This are beautifully modelled and superbly painted, and well photographed too. Awesome sauce muted and limited colour palette, hanging-out red sores/insides excepted of course <_<. Very characterful Nurgle. Cheers I
Bat33.1
Some great conversion work here, not to mention the paintwork, the individual models are top class but the whole army together is just stunning ;)
Son of Carnelian
Are those dreadnoughts still on the way?
Ah-a-nothepsis
Breathtaking. The poses of your line infantry are absolutely nuts. The bloodletter conversions are insane. Not much else to say. You're very skilled.
